But with the upcoming debut of her illustrated children's book, "Freddie, The Free-Range Chicken," Vitale is adding "author" to her list of accomplishments. And she's done it with the help of a hilarious character named Sean the Bull.
"When it comes to farms, the bull is the big man on campus," quips Vitale, "and that's what Sean is when it comes to the media. So 'Sean the Bull' was just a natural fit!"
Beyond paying sly tribute to her on-air family, Vitale will use her first book to help a good cause – Freedom Alliance, a non-profit group that provides college scholarships to the children of members of the armed forces who sacrificed life or limb in the defense of our country.
The character inspired by Hannity – who also penned the book's foreword – is just one of the many memorable barnyard animals in "Freddie, The Free-Range Chicken." Vitale's heartwarming book tells the story of Jack, who lives on a farm with loving parents always busy with chores. That means plenty of opportunities for mischief until Freddie the Chicken introduces Jack to the animals' magical world of endless imagination. But can Jack and his new friends save Freddie from becoming the next-door neighbor's Sunday feast?
"There are issues I feel so strongly about," Jill continues. "Supporting our troops, animal rights, and helping kids succeed are all important to me. With 'Freddie,' I tell a story that addresses them all with pictures!"

"This is a warm, real story that will touch your heart," writes Hannity in the foreword. "'Freddie, The Free-Range Chicken' will make you stop and think about all the really important things in life."
Featuring beautiful full-color pictures and an uplifting message of love and perseverance, here's a book that kids will turn to again and again. "Freddie, The Free-Range Chicken" is set for national release June 26 but is available right now in WND's online store.
