Author and WND columnist Jerome Corsi apparently is among the “conspiracy” theorists President Bush recently ridiculed, but others are taking his new book, “The Late Great USA,” more seriously, making it No. 1 this week at Shop.WND.com.
At the concluding news conference of the recent North American Security and Prosperity Partnership meeting, a trilateral plan coordinating operations of the U.S., Mexico and Canada, the president was asked whether there was a plan for a North American Union.
He made a joke about the question, saying he was “amused” by such “speculation.”
“You can call them political scare tactics,” he told reporters. “If you’ve been in politics as long as I have you get used to that kind of technique where you lay out a conspiracy and then force people to try to prove it doesn’t exist.”
Corsi, however, used the government’s own documents to support his book premise: that there is a movement afoot today eyeing the ultimate merger of the nations.
“Dr. Corsi has ‘connected the dots’ between the Security and Prosperity Partnership, the sale of toll roads and other infrastructure to foreign companies, and proposals for a North American Union with open borders between Mexico, the U.S., and Canada,” said Phyllis Schlafly, president of the Eagle Forum. “‘The Late Great U.S.A.’ is an essential read for anyone concerned about the future independence and sovereignty of the United States.”
Corsi describes the SPP as the kind of regional integration plan used to form the European Union, which already exists with its own government, currency and laws.
He obtained dozens of documents through the Freedom of Information Act, and he describes a chilling view of a “harmonized” future for North America, without voter input or congressional oversight.

The DVD set covers the history of monetary reform from Roman Times to the present. It is packed with the insights of world leaders throughout the years, and is presented in layman’s terms that an average person can grasp.

In third is “Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West,” a DVD allowing viewers to get inside the minds of those who are seeking to simply remove Western civilization from Earth.
“‘Obsession’ is without exaggeration one of the most important films of our time … Please, you must see it,” said Glenn Beck, of CNN Headline News.
The award-winning documentary uses actual footage from Arabic TV rarely seen in the West, and also includes interviews with former terrorists. Through these channels, it shows what the radicals who advocate the wholesale elimination of the freedoms on which Western civilization is based believe and think.
“Obsession” documents the call for world domination and global jihad that are made by Islamic leaders daily, and undercover footage included in the project shows suicide bomber initiations, the indoctrination of young children into the lifestyle of hate and violence, secret jihad meetings and public celebrations of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that left about 3,000 people dead.
So good is this video that it has been used by military and security organizations for educational purposes, officials said.
So accurate is the video that screenings at Pace University, State University of New York-Stonybrook, Georgia Tech and others have faced stiff opposition.
“‘Obsession’ should serve as a wake-up call to the free world to confront the threat now, before it is too late…,” said Joel Surnow, executive producer of “24.”
“‘Obsession’ shows that what the West perceives as seemingly isolated acts of terrorism are actually viewed by radical Islamists as integral parts of the global war they are waging,” according to the project description.
