What is it about the passing of a year that makes us all teary-eyed and nostalgic?

As for me, 2007 was a special year because it represented the 10th anniversary of WorldNetDaily's founding. In fact, our yearlong celebration of the accomplishment is still ongoing. On Saturday night, we have a special conference in Fort Lauderdale, and the next day we embark on WND's first cruise adventure to the Caribbean – with both events eying the future of our country.
But 2007 was also special for me because of relationships.

The No. 1 relationship for me, not just in 2007, but in every year going back more than 30 years, is with the One around whom even the calendar revolves.
I want to thank Him publicly for blessing me, my family and my business in 2007. He is my Lord and Savior and my motivation for getting out of bed each morning. Jesus is the standard by which we measure right and wrong and the Light we use to pierce the darkness of a world seemingly on the verge of madness.

In 2007 I hope I learned to rely less on me and more on Him – to apply that old question to every aspect of my life: "What would Jesus do?"
There are others I would like to acknowledge and thank for helping me make it through another year.
My faithful companion and partner in business and family matters, Elizabeth, taught me much, helped me immensely and helped me raise some of the finest children on Earth.
David Kupelian, my managing editor, remained a foundational rock of this enterprise – complementing me as an indispensable alter ego.
Joe Kovacs, executive news editor, continued to dazzle me with his flair for genius, for sheer brilliance.

Les Kinsolving, for having the guts to ask presidents the tough questions no one else will ask.
