The polarizing impact of a book that unveils some of the biggest “social” agendas in America, such as abortion and homosexuality, as nothing more than marketing campaigns is keeping David Kupelian’s “The Marketing of Evil” at the head of the Top Ten list at Shop.WND.com.
“Highly skilled marketers, playing on our deeply felt national values of fairness, generosity and tolerance, have persuaded us to embrace as enlightened and noble that which all previous generations since America’s founding regarded as grossly self-destructive – in a word, evil,” Kupelian writes in the book.
Such a description of those agendas catapulted the book into the middle of the culture wars when it was published, and has brought Kupelian a wide range of reactions from readers ever since.
It’s even brought out the “faith” in some who might otherwise deny any sort of a belief system.
“I pray for hackers to take down WorldNetDaily. See, I’m religious too,” wrote a reader identifying himself as Cody.
And James added: “I just hope if there is indeed a hell, that you and all of your morally bereft, hypocritical lot descend into the lowest circle to be found there.”
Ryan expressed is a similar sentiment, but very politely:
“I’m SO VERY GLAD I’m not you! Get hit by a bus, please!” he said.
But Kupelian notes what is so interesting is that no one has actually identified a single factual error in the book.
And while some reaction has been negative, the national response to his groundbreaking exposure of “evil marketers” has been overwhelmingly positive, with many readers claiming it has literally changed their lives. Here’s a sampling of reader-reviews from Amazon.com on “The Marketing of Evil”:
- “I finished “The Marketing of Evil” over a month ago. It absolutely changed my life.”
- “This book surely is like holy water dashed on vampires. The vampires being the undead leftists sucking the morality out of humanity like blood. If you hate truth, you will not comprehend this book. If you love it, this book is a must read.”
- “Turn Big Brother off the big screen, and open this book. If you’re a Christian, it may be the most important book you own next to the Bible.”
- “Read this book and you will start seeing the lies more clearly and you will then be on the path to truth.
“The Marketing of Evil” is an expose of just exactly what has been influencing – and degrading – the values in American life.
It describes the tolerance and active support Americans now offer issues that would have horrified their parents’ generation – “from easy divorce and unrestricted abortion-on-demand to extreme body piercing and teaching homosexuality to grade-schoolers.”
How did this happen? Kupelian’s answer is the brilliant and compelling marketing campaigns America has been handed.
“It’s often said that marketing is warfare, and in ‘The Marketing of Evil,’ David Kupelian clearly reveals the stunning strategies and tactics of persuasion employed by those engaged in an all-out war against America’s Judeo-Christian culture,” said syndicated columnist and author David Limbaugh. “If you really want to understand the adversary’s thinking and help turn the tide of battle, read this book.”
The late D. James Kennedy, of Coral Ridge Ministries, noted the book brings into focus what many have suspected: “The effort to change America’s mind on issues like abortion, homosexuality, church-state separation, and more, is a well-thought-out strategic campaign that uses the methods of Madison Avenue to market rank lies.”
And as the president campaign rages, “Hillary! Uncensored,” a DVD that exposes just exactly what elected Hillary Clinton to the Senate, is in second place.
Peter Paul, Hollywood Internet entrepreneur and Hillary’s largest 2000 donor turned whistleblower, reveals how a president and a senator conspired to hoodwink a million-dollar donor and avoid accountability to the government and American people.
It includes never-before-seen footage of the Gala Concert Salute to President Clinton, the largest private concert ever, and the first concert to be shown in court as evidence of various federal crimes.
“Paul holds center stage in the last of the Clinton Scandals,” said Vanity Fair. And the Wall Street Journal noted, “Sen. Hillary Clinton … can’t … shake fund-raising controversy.”
John Armor, a constitutional lawyer, noted that the case about which the DVD was assembled, “could well be Hillary’s Chappaquiddick.”
“No one, not even Hillary, is above the law … this is bigger than Watergate,” Paul said.
Special appearances include Al Gore, Cher, Whoopi Goldberg, Diana Ross, Brad Pitt, Michel Bolton, Shirley MacLaine, Roger and Chelsea Clinton, Larry King and others.
In third place is “Day of Reckoning,” by Pat Buchanan, who warns of the impending disintegration of America.
“Before us looms the prospect of an American breaking up along the lines of race, ethnicity, class and culture,” the book explains.
He likens ideology to the golden calf of the Bible, “a false god, a secular religion that seeks vainly, like Marxism, to create a paradise on earth.”
The book suggests the solution is for American to stand for freedom and self-determination but the use of U.S. troops to police the planet “is imperial folly.”
“While we have benefited from immigration and the melting pot worked with millions of Europeans, the idea that we can import endless millions of aliens, legal and illegal, from every culture, clime, creed and continent on earth, and still remain a country, is absurd…” he writes.
