Wanted: Americans willing to fight back

By Joseph Farah

stim·u·lus: something that incites to action or exertion or quickens action, feeling, thought, etc.

That’s how my dictionary defines the word being thrown around so frequently by President Obama and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid.

And that’s exactly what the “economic stimulus package” is doing in Washington and across the country – inciting, exerting and quickening actions, feelings and thoughts.

It will not stimulate economic recovery, nor do I believe that is even the goal.

The real goal of this fraudulent legislation is to incite Americans into accepting a new economic system – one no longer based on the principles of free enterprise, property rights and limited constitutional government.

As Newsweek proclaims, “We’re all socialists now.”

That was actually the Promised Land all along for those who never believed in the American way of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

In “The Creature From Jeckyll Island,” by G. Edward Griffin, the best exposé of the Federal Reserve ever written, what we’re seeing happen to our country today was prophesied. He warned that the power elite would use “bailouts” and other euphemisms to enrich the wealthy and enslave the middle class.

Still, few saw it coming.

After all, even “bailouts” are misnamed. They’re not “bailouts”; they’re payouts. The government is giving your money away to some of the biggest corporations in the world. Ask yourself, why? Because they were too big to allow to fail? No, because it facilitates national socialism – even international socialism. Because we’re moving ever closer to totalitarian rule by a super-rich international elite. It’s that simple. If someone has a better explanation, please let me know.

The American Dream is dead.

The question: Can it be restored?

The answer: It depends how much damage these would-be tyrants are allowed to do.

The party in power is moving fast. It reminds me of the early months of the Clinton administration – on steroids.

So many brushfires are being set, it’s impossible to monitor them all, let alone expose them in any meaningful way.

Already they have managed to effectively bankrupt the country in ways that burden our great-great grandchildren with debts they will not be able to repay.

How they will “fix” that is obvious – more theft, more debt, more redistribution of wealth, more crises, more direct payouts to the elect, more failure and more unconstitutional power grabs until there is nothing left in America to rob.

That’s where we’re headed.

We brought this on ourselves, not just through the election of Obama, but over many years of sitting like that frog in the proverbial pot of water gradually increasing in temperature.

It’s time to jump out and declare our allegiance to America, to the Constitution, to the founding principles that set this country apart from the rest.

If it means getting out in the streets and going toe to toe with Obama’s street activists, that’s what we have to do.

If it means declaring our independence again, that’s what we have to do.

If it means separating ourselves physically and legally from the chaos, that’s what we have to do.

It’s decision time.

You can sit back and wait for your stimulus check if you want. But I think you will be waiting for a very long time.

You can watch your liberties erode one by one, or you can be bold and brave like our Founding Fathers who risked everything – their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor.

What you can’t do is wait around for another election cycle and another set of bad choices.
