More carnage from multiculturalism

By Joseph Farah

Tuesday I told you about a New York immigrant from Pakistan, the founder of a TV station supposedly designed to promote Islam’s image in the U.S. but which actually promoted hate and even Shariah law in the U.S., who beheaded his wife the day before Valentine’s Day.

Today I will tell you about another similar horror story.

It’s about a Muslim convert who became a polygamist who tortured, starved, imprisoned and beat his three wives and 19 children.

Mansa Musa Muhummed, 55, spoke before getting seven life sentences – or at least 65 years – denying he ever mistreated his wives and children.

“I never tortured anyone,” he told Riverside County Superior Court Judge F. Paul Dickerson III. “I don’t know where that came from.”

But family members told a different story.

“I’m very afraid of him. I really don’t want him to get out of jail at all,” his daughter Sharon Boddie told the judge. “Please, Your Honor, don’t show him any mercy because he never showed any mercy to his kids.”

They testified that he would beat them savagely with boat oars, hoses and electrical cords for grounds like sneaking food, failing to recite a passage from the Quran accurately and not asking to use the bathroom. According to trial testimony, Muhummed rationed food for everyone but himself. He locked up cabinets and chained the refrigerator. His children said he “ate like a king” while they went hungry – going up to seven days without food.

Buckets in the bedrooms of their rural Riverside County home usually served as their toilets, they said.

When police found Sharon Boddie, she was 18 years old, weighed 48 pounds and stood barely 4 feet tall. Her older brother Marlon weighed 53 pounds. Another brother, Curtis, 16, weighed 42 pounds. Marlon Boddie said his father hung him upside down in the basement by a cord and beat him for hours. He said he was made to eat his own feces and vomit. He said he once smashed a bottle against his head hoping to get sent to the hospital.

None of the children were ever educated or sent to school. Muhummed survived by selling food stamps and collecting Social Security on himself and his children. The wives and children were often locked up in a dark garage for days without heat, air conditioning or toilets.

Muhummed was arrested after one of the wives slipped a letter to the mailman, begging for help.

Marta Butterfield, one of the jurors in the case, showed up for the sentencing. “I think he is such a monster,” she said, “and I wanted to see him get everything he deserved.”

Now, call me an Islamophobe if you like, but I have a feeling this case would have received much more media attention than it did had the perpetrator not been named after the prophet. Just a wild guess on my part.

Do you agree?

Again, the question Americans need to ask themselves is whether they want horror stories like this to become routine in America – as they are throughout the Islamic world.

Islam is not just another religion – at least not the way it is practiced throughout most of the world today.

It denigrates women to the level of chattel.

It promotes polygamy.

It fosters violence.

It preaches hatred.

Its values have nothing in common with what made America great.

Its values are destroying much of Europe today.

Its aggressiveness is responsible for most of the conflicts raging around the globe.

These are statements few commentators are bold enough to make.

Correct me, however, if any of them are untrue.

When are we going to stop playing pretend about Islam?

When are we going to acknowledge that all cultures and all religions are not equal?
