Taiwan and its proximity to China

If you were thinking about investing in a Taiwan-based business or buying some real estate in the island nation, you may want to think again, according to a report from Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

It appears Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are about to play their China card, effectively selling Taiwan national security down the Yangtze River.

As far back as 1999, U.S. Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair called Taiwan “the turd in the punch bowl.”

Blair is perceived by many as a longtime China partisan. After frequent trips to Beijing as U.S. Pacific Command chief, he came back with the astonishing conclusion that “China is on a positive trajectory.” This at the very moment China was deploying hundreds of missiles aimed at Taiwan, which Beijing sees as a breakaway republic, despite the fact that it was never part of the mainland nation.

Blair’s nomination to the key post was overseen in the Senate by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee. She and her billionaire husband have extensive business relationships in China.

Hillary Clinton, meanwhile, announced to the world on her recent trip to China that there were bigger priorities in the U.S. than concern about human rights there.
