The Democrats who schemed up the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy are back at it again.
The razor-lipped cue ball known as James Carville and Paul “the Forehead” Begala think that they have struck gold in attacking the giant of talk radio, my friend Rush Limbaugh. They want to turn him into the big, bad bogeyman of the GOP.
With stupid strategizing like that, no wonder Hillary is secretary of state.
“The administration is enabling me,” Rush wrote in an e-mail to Politico. “They are expanding my profile, expanding my audience and expanding my influence. An ever-larger number of people are now being exposed to the antidote to Obamaism: conservatism, as articulated by me. An ever larger number of people are now exposed to substantive warnings, analysis and criticism of Obama’s policies and intentions, a ‘story’ I own because the [mainstream media] is largely the Obama Press Office.”
The bigger, the better, agreed Carville. “It’s great for us, great for him, great for the press,” he said of Limbaugh. “The only people he’s not good for are the actual Republicans in Congress.”
If I were James Carville (and thank GOD I am not) I wouldn’t be so sure of myself.
First, to borrow a phrase from snakehead himself, “It’s the economy, stupid.” President Obama’s administration and his two-bit hacks have better things to do than use the power of the U.S. government to pick on a citizen and his business. Have these boneheads taken a look at the stock market since Obama won the election?
The Dow Jones has lost 25 percent of its value since Obama was elected. It hit its lowest level since 1997. I know the liberals/socialists blame the entire mess on former President Bush. Before that, everything was President Reagan’s fault. Time to look in the mirror, Obama.
The point is that all the president’s so-called men should focus on our economic problems, not attack legitimate critics. The Democratic Party, overrun by left-wing radicals, really think they are getting somewhere by attacking Rush. They’re even putting up a billboard campaign to attack a radio guy.
The Democrats are using the Rush-attack as a means of distracting the public from the massive spending, missteps and major moves under Obama to turn America away from her roots as a democratic republic and toward a European-style socialist state.
But talk radio may be this democracy’s saving grace. And Carville and his buddies clearly haven’t paid attention to the role of talk radio and electoral politics. Are we entertaining? You bet. Are we informative? Yup. Are we important in a democracy? Of course. Political discourse is why the First Amendment exists.
When my co-hosts at KSFO and I launched the recall of then-Gov. Gray Davis, no one took us seriously. But the election results were deadly for the Democrats.
Jimmy, be careful what you wish for. Because no one should underestimate Rush Limbaugh.
Ever.
Even the screechy Susan Estrich, left-wing liberal Democrat, has it figured out:
“He talks for hours every day. He gets paid to talk. Just talk. Doing it well is no small thing; witness the number of people who have tried to be him, or be the NOT-him, and failed. But he doesn’t have to build a coalition. He doesn’t need the votes of the other side to earn his check. He doesn’t have to write the legislation, convince Olympia Snowe, raise money to keep the lights on, put his name on the ballot. All the things he doesn’t have to do give him the freedom to be as effective as he is at what he does.
“Trying to beat him at his own game when your own game is played by a different set of rules is a losing proposition. He knows that.”
Rush stands for the best of America: Freedom to express conservative values. Freedom –every move Obama makes takes another chunk of freedom from Americans. He has indebted us and our great grandchildren so he can experiment with socialism. And as America burns, he is partying in the White House, feeding guests “Maryland crab, Wagyu beef, Nantucket scallops and citrus salad” before conga lines break out in the party house.
Rush has challenged Obama to a debate. Obama doesn’t have the guts to debate El Rushbo one-on-one, because Obama’s teleprompter can’t save him from his own ignorance in a debate format. My bet’s on the man behind the golden EIB microphone.
The media can’t seem to find a left-wing label for Kamala
