Craig R. Smith |
Craig R. Smith, president and CEO of Swiss America Trading Corp. and a WND columnist, will be a guest today on the Fox News Channel's "Your World" with Neil Cavuto.
The popular business-oriented show airs from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
Smith will discuss the controversial General Motors meeting at a Phoenix luxury resort in which the troubled auto giant is flying in fleet managers and corporate buyers for several days to persuade them to buy cars for next year.
Smith comments he disagrees with the populist view that GM is "wining and dining" at taxpayer expense.
"Fleet and corporate make up 28 percent of GM's sale," he argues. "They have steadily
lost market share in the area to Ford. If GM doesn't start aggressively
pursuing the capitalist model of spend money to make money, they are doomed."
Smith, an author, commentator and frequent radio and television guest, founded his company in 1982 with $50 and has grown it into one of the largest and most respected firms in the industry.
He's been interviewed by CNN, CNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS, TNT, CBN, TBN, Time, the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times and Newsweek.
Smith co-authored the book "Black Gold Stranglehold" in 2005 with Jerome Corsi, a WND staff writer and columnist.
