On the Sept. 14 edition of Fox News' "The O'Reilly Factor," host Bill O'Reilly queried former President Bush adviser Karl Rove as to whether he thought President Barack Obama is simply a garden variety far-left guy trying to get his agenda across, or actually committed to supplanting our current form of government and economic system with different and quite alien ones.
Mr. Rove equivocated; I don't know whether he is of the opinion that leveling such a harsh charge (as the latter) would be unseemly, or he simply didn't want to risk being that wrong. Neither am I aware of what Rove or O'Reilly actually believes, but my opinion has been made quite clear.
Last week, video footage began to surface in the alternative press produced by filmmaker James O'Keefe, 25, and his partner Hannah Giles, a 20-year-old student. Through undercover work, they were able to very effectively implicate the Association of Community Organizers for Reform Now (ACORN) in providing counseling to Giles and O'Keefe (who were posing as a prostitute and her pimp, respectively) that amounted to criminal conspiracy. In the past, ACORN employees have been involved in (and, in more than two dozen cases, convicted of) voter fraud; typically, the group has claimed that these exceptional and infrequent crimes were committed by "rogue" employees.

The organization also has deep and long-standing ties to President Obama, who brought them on board in various advisory and administrative capacities when he took office. He formerly provided them with legal representation, taught classes for them, and they endorsed his 2008 presidential campaign. This, of course, gives rise to the question of how much ACORN learned from Obama, given that he instructed their operatives.
While public outrage over the deeds of the taxpayer-funded ACORN is apparent, and the Senate voted on Sept. 15 to cut off federal funding to the group, the establishment press has essentially ignored one of the largest and most widespread instances of corruption tied to government in history.

"You Lie!" Get the bumper sticker that immortalizes American opposition to Obama
Why? Because it involves Obama. In fact, members of the press have stated that there is no connection between ACORN and Obama, despite the abject and verifiable falsehood of such statements.

Meanwhile, congressional support for the president's health-care legislation has disintegrated (public support disintegrated some time ago). The press and the Obama administration have elected to all but ignore this as well. The White House and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi continue to float the prospect of pushing the bill through despite opposition, and the press blacked out nearly all coverage of last weekend's Washington, D.C., protests against the bill and government spending. On Sept. 13, White House senior adviser David Axelrod declared that the protesters did not represent the views of the broader public vis-à-vis health-care reform, despite it being a matter of public record that the majority of Americans are against the present proposal.
While the president addressed a joint session of Congress on Sept. 9, Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., shouted "you lie!" when Obama assured the lawmakers that illegal immigrants would not be covered under the health-care bill. Although Obama later accepted Wilson's apology, apoplectic Democrat lawmakers voted Sept. 15 to formally "admonish" him, whatever that means.
Apparently, shouting at the president is objectionable, but his collectively sodomizing the American people in perpetuity is acceptable as long as it is done with a sense of decorum.
The left, including Obama cronies and members of Congress, continue to make blanket indictments of those who oppose the health-care reform legislation as racists, most recently, former President Jimmy Carter, from whom I believe Obama is trying to appropriate the title of "America's Worst President Ever." On Sept. 15, Rep. Hank Johnson, D-Ga., a member of the treasonous Congressional Black Caucus, blabbered about "folks putting on white hoods and white uniforms again and riding through the countryside" when asked about Rep. Wilson's outburst.

Attempts on the part of the political left to characterize all who oppose Obama as fringe elements and racists are among the most craven, loathsome exertions I have ever witnessed. Yet, those who insist upon playing the race card do so with impunity, since the only ones around who criticize such action are "the right-wing hate press" and fringe racists.
I pray that at least as many Americans as were represented by last weekend's protests are beginning to see the big picture – that the leadership of this Congress are rapacious oligarchs; the establishment press has become so brazen and arrogant that they no longer see any reason to disguise the fact that they are a propaganda arm of the administration; and the administration itself is lousy with vile, avaricious criminals. All of their proposals ought to be resisted, and making every effort to ensure that they find new jobs as soon as possible must be the top priority of all conscientious Americans.
