According to the Jerusalem Post, only 6 percent of Jewish people living in Israel view Obama as being in favor of Israel. Fifty percent believe Obama's policies are pro-Palestinian. He is opposed to Israelis building on their own land. His administration is demanding that "natural growth" construction must cease. Imagine Chinese President Hu Jintao demanding that U.S. citizens can no longer build in America. We would say, "A foreign president doesn't have authority to do that!" Precisely! Yet this is exactly what Obama and his world-government friends are trying to do.
Isi Leibler stated Obama "gives the impression that he seeks to draw the United States closer to the Arab world by distancing it from Israel. Obama … expressed his intention of 'engaging' with adversaries. Yet ironically, Israel, until now regarded as an American ally, has been confronted with diktats from Obama."
This places Israel between a rock and a hard place because it needs America to survive persecution from the international community.
In his Cairo speech, Obama drew a comparison between the Nazi Holocaust and Arab refugees. With 6 million Jews slaughtered 70 years ago by Germany's Hitler, memories of the concentration camps are embedded deeply within the Jewish psyche. When was the last time you heard about Israel rounding up Arab refugees and sending them to gas chambers? You got it – NEVER.
According to Arutz Sheva, Obama's longtime pastor, Jeremiah Wright, has a history of being prejudiced against Jewish people. Obama said he used the pastor as his "sounding board."
Obama distanced himself from Wright during the presidential campaign because he knew that associating with Wright's views could cost him the election. Still, this was Obama's mentor for 20 years!
Rolling Stone magazine quoted leftist religious leader Rev. Jim Wallis as saying, "If you want to understand where Barack gets his rhetoric, just look at Jeremiah Wright." One journalist said Obama credited Wright with calibrating his "moral compass."
After Obama gave his Cairo speech, Jerusalem's Temple Institute director Rabbi Chaim Richman declared that Obama is a robber. He made the following points, saying Obama's speech:
- robs Judaism of its legacy;
- threatens the existence of the Jewish state;
- presents distorted views of Jews' historical ties to Israel.
Richman also points out that:
- Obama subscribes to the Arab revisionist version of history.
- Obama is undermining Israel's right to exist in her own land.
- Obama believes settlements are the only obstacle to peace, yet there were no settlements in 1948 when Israel was reborn.
- The Palestinian Authority terrorist organization was formed prior to there being any Israeli settlements in the West Bank.
- Jerusalem is not holy to Muslims nor mentioned in the Quran. They pray toward Mecca and turn their backsides toward Jerusalem.
- Does Obama realize that to the Jews, Jerusalem is the holiest place on earth and mentioned over 700 times in the Torah?
- Does Obama understand Jerusalem's deep history in that it was the seat of the monarchy of Israel via David and Solomon?
- Has Obama considered that there was a Jewish presence there 1,600 years before Muhammad existed?
- Obama says that Islam has a proud tradition of tolerance, yet here in Jerusalem, if Jews try to pray on the Temple Mount, they are prevented by the Muslims!
- For Obama to link Israel's right to exist with the Holocaust and to begin Israel's history from that point is a perversion of history.
- Obama says that Iran should have the right to nuclear power as long as they comply with international law, yet they have repeatedly called for the destruction of Israel.
- Obama is robbing the Jewish people of their heritage.
In May, Obama set the clock ticking toward a breakthrough on a Mideast agreement. According to Ynet News, Obama's goal of creating two states will include placing Jerusalem under international jurisdiction.
Some in the U.S. government are troubled that he is forcing Israel to stop settlement growth. The United States has always been Israel's best friend. Many lawmakers understand this is a key reason for God's favor toward America. Obama is keeping his promise by bringing hardcore change that fulfills Bible prophecy.
Many Jews who helped usher Obama into power are now regretting it. Why? His Israel policies! According to the Jerusalem Post, out of 500 U.S. Jews who voted for Obama, 55 percent believe he is "naive in thinking that the Palestinians would make peace." Israelis fear that Palestinians "will just use the new land as a base to attack." Arabs will never make true peace with Israel.
Richard Baehr and Ed Lasky claim that liberal media corporations have criticized Obama's Israel policy, calling it betrayal. How could Obama bow like he did to Saudi King Abdullah at the London G-20 Summit, and yet not follow Abdullah's Arab Peace Initiative?
At the U.N., Obama said that the U.S. does not recognize the "legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements," prompting John Bolton to say Obama had put Israel on the chopping block.
Prime Minister Netanyahu gave a passionate U.N. speech:
For eight years, Hamas fired rockets from Gaza onto Israeli citizens. Thousands of missiles came down. Not one U.N. resolution was passed condemning those attacks. In 2005, Israel withdrew from Gaza. We yanked (over 8,000) from their homes. Many in Israel believed this would get peace. We didn't get peace. We got an Iranian-backed terror base, 50 miles from Tel Aviv. The U.N. was silent.
Obama declared it is time for Middle East peace "without preconditions." This dovetails Javier Solana's assertion that if Israel and the Muslim nations don't sign a peace agreement soon, then the international community should force an agreement.
The president does not appear to be a friend to Israel. He does, however, look to be a close ally to the global government and its coming leader, the Antichrist.
