Well, my friends, the left has come a courtin' and will stop at nothing to combine my God with their poor excuse of a government.
There's nothing I despise more than "convenient religion." I use this term to describe people who abuse the name of my God, then turn around and use Him as a reason to support their agenda. I knew it wouldn't be long before they needed the help of a Christian, but I never would have guessed the manpower they'd put behind it. The left is now using what they believe is "Christ's will" to drive their political bandwagon. We need to come together and be heard. If Democrats want us to "go green" and support their slapdash version of immigration reform, then they better leave the Ten Commandments displayed in our courthouses. Oh yeah, they think we forgot about that one.
Obama's administration has sunk to an all-time low. They are playing on our emotions and will do anything and everything to pass their green initiatives and keep our borders just as they are – a mess. They'll use phrases like "spirit of civility" and "new era of partnership" to try and sway you. But don't be fooled, because we've also heard them demand the separation of church and state. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Obama say we aren't a Christian nation? I remember not too long ago my God wasn't good enough for them. They tried to keep Him out of our schools, off of our money and out of our country – so why on earth is He good enough for them now?

Obama wants our churches to support green initiatives and sway congregations toward his extreme-left ideologies. One strategy of Obama's was to create an Advisory Council on Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, which wants to bring "the power of 370,000 houses of worship across the country to the fight of climate change by greening buildings and promoting environmental stewardship in their congregations." This sounds like they're raising a religious army to battle alongside Captain Planet. I understand that as Christians it is our responsibility to take care of God's earth, but this administration has made it perfectly clear from past decisions that God shouldn't play a role in government. Personally, I'd rather raise an army to battle against terrorism. That's something that actually poses a threat to me right now, as opposed to something intangible that may or may not affect me for another 100 years – e.g., plastic water bottles.
A pastor of mine, Todd DuBord who is also a chaplain for Chuck Norris' Top Kick Production, said this: "Not only is the federal government seeking to minimize the language preachers use through politically correct hate-crime laws, but now the feds are seeking to alter the message they preach as well – from saving souls to saving the earth." Name dropping aside, he's absolutely right! I, for one, refuse to accept a "save the earth" over a "saving souls" attitude. Church is no place to peddle an agenda. Just ask the moneychangers in the temple. Christ didn't seem too happy with them.
If you heard Pelosi's speech addressing the Catholic Church, you know just how sick and desperate these liberal fascists have become. For years liberals have tossed Christians aside like we're trash to be taken out, but now that they've got something to sell, all of a sudden they want our pulpits to be their policy pusher. Well, Nancy, you should have thought about what you'd be needing from us before supporting non-Christian policies. Pelosi stated, "The cardinals, the archbishops, the bishops that come to me … say, 'We want you to pass immigration reform,' and I said, I want you to speak about it from the pulpit." She continued her crooked crusade by saying, "Some (who) oppose immigration reform are sitting in those pews, and you have to tell them that this is a manifestation of our living the gospels." If you could have seen my face when I heard these words come out of her mouth … I had to rewind the DVR just to make sure I heard right. Did she think we wouldn't notice her biological condition known as two-faced syndrome? Besides that, her poker face isn't all that convincing anymore: It's been numb for 15 years. Christians, please understand, she is not your friend, she is not your ally, and she is not to be trusted.

If going green and tolerating defenseless borders are what the left seeks from my fellow Christians, then here's our list of demands: 1) They must put a stop to abortion in this country. 2) They must stop favoring other religions over Christianity. Equality and PC should apply to everyone, not just minorities. 3) Hold everyone in the U.S. accountable to the laws of this country, even if that means political suicide. 4) Stop lying to get what you want. And 5) Keep your political agenda out of our churches. Church is a time to reflect on the Word of God, not the word of government. If the left can adhere to these demands, then and only then will I consider following their lead.
Bottom line: I'll do whatever it takes to keep our churches from sliding down the slippery slope called liberalism. And I'll do my best to protect the holiness and pureness of Christ's message. As a child of God, that is my personal responsibility. I hope you will join me and do the same for your church community. Don't let the left bully or guilt you into a Christian corner. Yes, we must love our neighbor, but that doesn't mean they can use our religion as a stepping stone for their nonsense.
My dose of honesty this week is for the citizens of this great country. Never back down from what you know is right. If we demand truth and honesty from our representatives, they will have no choice but to adhere to our requests. They've taken enough rights from Christians already; do not allow them to exploit our religion to further their selfish objective.
