It just doesn't pay to be a friend of the United States of America, these days – not with Barack Obama in the White House.
Over and over again we see this administration use its power to punish America's allies and reward our enemies.
Take, for example, Obama's relentless pressure on and criticism of Israel.

What has Israel done to warrant all the attention?
- It has attempted to protect its people from terrorist attacks in the Gaza Strip by preventing military weapons from getting to the Hamas terrorists who run the territory. Israel has blocked ships suspected of carrying arms to Hamas. Indeed, the so-called "peace flotilla" was nothing more than a ruse to rearm Hamas. But now Obama is demanding that Israel just let those arms get into Gaza – knowing full well they will be used to kill innocent Israeli civilians.
- Israel has allowed the building of civilian housing units in and around its capital of Jerusalem. But the Obama administration has determined that the building of housing units intended for Jewish occupancy is a provocative gesture and must be stopped. Yes, it's a racist and anti-Semitic position for a president to suggest building houses for Jews in a Jewish state is somehow wrong – but that's what Obama has done. Meanwhile, there are no restrictions on Arab building.
- Everyone in the world knows Iran is hell-bent on building nuclear weapons capable of destroying Israel – a state Iranian leaders openly vow to annihilate. This results in more diplomatic efforts to accommodate Iran's grievances rather than military efforts to protect Israel.

And it's not just matters concerning Israel.
In April, Obama held a summit on international entrepreneurship, and guess who was invited? Islamic countries only.
Now why would a summit on international entrepreneurship include only Islamic countries? I think you know the answer. Because the Islamic world, generally speaking, hates America.
What do we do for our friends and the people who love America?

Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Bubkes.
We take our friends for granted – or worse, in the case of Israel. Israel is actually being persecuted by the Obama administration. Israel, once America's reliable ally and friend, can no longer count on the U.S. for anything but supporting its enemies.
The U.S. has become a bigger Israel-baiter than even the European Union and the rest of the international community. Occasionally, the U.S. has placed demands on Israel that even exceed those of Israel's Arab-Muslim enemies.
By the way, this policy of slapping friends and embracing enemies is not limited to the Middle East. It is only more pronounced and obvious in that part of the world.

Think about North Korea and South Korea. Why does North Korea do what it does? Because it understands the squeaky wheel gets the oil. It understands nobody, especially in the U.S., pays any attention to North Korea until it starts firing long-range missiles and testing nuclear weapons.
How about Taiwan?
How much would you be willing to wager that the U.S. supports Taiwan in the inevitable future Chinese invasion of that island? Not much, right? China, a totalitarian country where free speech and free elections and free anything is unknown is treated like a great big cuddly panda bear by the U.S. The U.S. has even allowed itself to become China's No. 1 debtor nation – a position it can use to squeeze America any time it chooses.

Think about how Obama has treated Great Britain since he came into office. Nobody can figure out why. I know why. It's because Great Britain is a friend of the U.S.
What does all this suggest?
It suggests that Obama himself is not a friend of the U.S. That's right. The president of the United States genuinely and demonstrably does not like the country he was chosen to lead. I can come to no other conclusion.
