It's a fire sale! Everything must go! According to a Yahoo! News article, illegal immigrants in Arizona are selling their things and fleeing the state. The goal is to avoid repercussions from the Arizona immigration law (aka the United States immigration law) set to take effect tomorrow. The article talks about two separate families that are selling their belongings to leave Arizona as quickly as possible.
Ahhh, a sigh of relief. Perhaps we'll get lucky and all 400,000 illegal immigrants in Arizona will move it on over to California. If the Golden State is so supportive of illegal aliens, then here's their chance to put their liberal ideology where their mouth is. Not that Cali hasn't had their fair share of illegal immigration, but it seems like their new motto should be "The More the Merrier." No, wait. I think that's Meg Whitman's campaign slogan. Yet another liberal in sheep's clothing.
"Everyone is selling up the little they have and leaving. We have no alternative. They have us cornered." This complaint came from 31-year-old Wendi Villasenor, an undocumented worker headed to Pennsylvania. Good luck there; several states, including Pennsylvania – sorry, Wendi – have already introduced comparable bills. In fact the Huffington Post reported that 20 other states are waiting and watching Arizona's every move regarding immigration reform in hopes of enforcing similar laws.

For those who do not support Arizona's efforts, riddle me this …Why are you against punishing criminals? Should we allow burglars to wander the streets? Yes, I am comparing illegal immigrants to burglars because a crime is a crime is a crime. If I don't wear my seatbelt and I get pulled over, I must accept the consequences for breaking the law. That goes for people who vandalize billboards, too. If you thought I let the Christian vandals off the hook, it was not my intention. I supported the message they sent, not the method in which it was sent. People make conscious choices every day whether or not to break the law. Living in any country without proper documentation is a conscious choice and a crime. For anyone to argue that fact is just more evidence our public-school system has failed.

Lunaly Bustillos, 17 and a legal resident from Mexico, said, "It makes me sad and angry too, because I feel I have the right to be here." Let me ask you this, Lunaly: If I were to go to Mexico, or China, or England and said, "I feel I have the right to be here." Would they let me stay there? Work there? Settle down there without legal documents? I can't even say that with a straight face, because those countries would boot me out in a heartbeat. I've said it once and I'll say it again: I can't even visit England until I show them my return flight. Get over it. If you are a legal resident, you're right, you do belong here. But if your parents are illegal aliens, blame them for this craziness; don't blame a state that's trying to protect itself. Illegal immigrants have brought this chaos on themselves.

I am not against immigration. If people want to live here I think that's great, but they must follow the rules. My sister-in-law is a Hungarian immigrant. She has followed the letter of the law and has a great life here. I'm proud to call her my sister. Yeah, it was difficult and she struggled, but she never complained about it. She never felt entitled. Allowing illegal immigrants to flourish in this country without consequence is a slap in the face to my sister and everyone else who worked hard to become a citizen.
To everyone who is flailing about trying to get out of Arizona, you're overreacting. This isn't 1941 Poland. Law enforcement won't be banging on doors saying, "Show me your papers!" The residents of Arizona need to be reminded of that. Police cannot arrest anyone based on the color of their skin. A person must be committing a crime for authorities to ask about citizenship. Just stay out of trouble and you'll be fine. No need to be so dramatic and create more problems for yourself.
My dose of honesty: I'm actually angrier at Americans who support illegal aliens than I am at the actual criminals. I am sick and tired of this Arizona immigration battle. Earth to liberals, you're not going to win this one. Just because you're loud doesn't mean you're right. You can cry all day about how inhumane this law is and how it victimizes people of color, but at the end of the day … you're wrong. Try reading the law. It's only 17 pages, which is a hairline fracture compared to your precious Obamacare. Stop trying to create victims that don't exist. Arizona law only deals with illegal aliens who have been involved in another crime. Isn't it about time you found something else to cling to? The statute of limitations is about to run out on this.
