In announcing recent mass expansions in technology and warehouse space, WND recalls the clever commercial by Amazon in which the online wholesaler satirically claimed its surplus book inventory required securing storage room in the cosmos.
Joseph Farah, founder and CEO of WorldNetDaily.com and WND Books, credited the growth spurt to a banner year in book publishing, news coverage and initiatives that "channel Americans' rightful indignation and eagerness for activism."
At WND's shipping hub in Kansas City, Mo., the warehouse space has doubled in size, and the growth has cleared room for the installation of a horizontal carousel, "pick-to-light" automation system. Mirroring the equipment Amazon employs, the technology is a tremendous improvement over the manual process that remains common in the industry.

By just scanning the bar code on a packing slip, the packing operator waits mere moments while the inventoried item is delivered to his or her workstation.
"For all the outward accomplishments WND has been blessed to achieve in its 13-year history, it's the behind-the-scenes improvements, which often go unsung, that make the most difference to our readers," said Farah.
"Enhancements like this one increase our ability to expedite the influx of orders to the WND Superstore and even better take care of the growing WND community of customers whose loyalty has elevated our operational levels," Farah added.
The enlargement of the WND brand is the fruit of the company's tireless commitment to discovering, vetting and sharing the otherwise untold nonfiction stories that give readers tremendous insight on matters of faith, freedom, security and the threat of corruption, Farah said.
While credit goes to high-profile events like this September's "Taking America Back" Conference and Cruise in Miami (featuring such stars as Rep. Michele Bachmann, Ann Coulter, Jerome Corsi and Alan Keyes, among others), Farah pointed to the latest bumper crop of WND Books releases.
This year, WND Books published the New York Times bestseller "The Manchurian President" and other top-selling titles, "Climategate,"
"Negrophilia" and "Burning Down 'The Shack.'" Readers have also gravitated toward Judith Reisman's Kinsey expose, "Sexual Sabotage," and the just-released "The Nazi Connection to Islamic Terrorism" is generating media interest. Farah also projects mass interest in a coming WND Books release, Wayne LaPierre's "SAFE: How to Protect Yourself, Your Family and Your Home."
In addition, Farah's "The Tea Party Manifesto" and re-released "Taking America Back" books remain huge draws. While the establishment press has given sneering, even demeaning and condescending depictions of the tea party movement, WND Books has provided a filter-free view with "Don't Tread on US!," a collection of color photos supplied by the participants themselves.
The WND Superstore, which sells a wide array of Bibles, books, bumper stickers, films, flags, and even clothing and lapel pins, notched heavy traffic, Farah said.
The acclaimed Whistleblower monthly magazine remains beloved, and WND released the innovative 100-percent electronic publication "WorldNetWeekly."
The Superstore increased its inventory and ease of navigation with several new departments, said Farah, including instant favorites like the 99 Cents Store! and the Bargain Bin. A movie section is under construction to augment regulars like Bible Study, Bumper Stickers and Classic Books. Other popular additions include The Reagan Store, the Don't Tread on Me Store, The Birth Certificate Store and Special Reports.
"Of course, it's our solid reporting – evident in the many major news stories our staff has broken – and uncompromising commentary of WND that have forged such a bond with readers," said Farah.
Even amid a near-universal front by the establishment press to deride, denigrate and all together disregard its coverage, WND hasn't wavered in reporting on the president's refusal to release his long-form birth certificate. While recent evidence testifies to the issue's resonance with the public, Farah kept it in the public consciousness by buying billboard space across the country asking, "Where's the birth certificate?"
Farah also created and implemented campaigns to stop the government takeover of health care, deter the confirmation of Elena Kagan to the U.S. Supreme Court and "end attempts to grant amnesty to illegal aliens.
"It's because of the WND reader – you – who refuses to accept timid, trivial and trite treatment of the most important issues affecting our lives and liberty that we've been able to honor the true intents of journalism and flourish," Farah said.
