It is a good thing the media have elected to cover for President Obama, our first affirmative action president. If his true depth of incompetence were revealed by an inquisitive reporter, not enchanted by his wiles, America would be the laughing stock of the world for electing him.
Mr. Obama has broken campaign promise after promise, deceived the public about his desire for bipartisanship in Washington, and he has not been the post racial president he promised to be.
Bipartisanship to Mr. Obama is both sides of the aisle doing whatever he tells them to do. When he was asked Friday at his press conference about changing the tone in D.C., his answer could be summed up in a few words: Shut up, sit down and don't expect any open discussion. He has already made up everyone's mind for them. He won the election, and he is not going to let anyone forget.

If his opponents fail to heed his dictates, they are rapidly referred to as the "party of no," devoid of ideas, obstructionists of the people's business, the party of special interests and fat cats and fools who want to move backward, not forward. Then he spices it up with a healthy dose of how these same people who got us into the mess want to use the same policies to get things back on track. "They don't need to do a lot of talking."
Nothing could be further from the truth, but who cares? It is election season, and Mr. Obama kicked it off in high style on Tuesday in Ohio.
TRENDING: The Capitol attack: Another deceitful, leftist narrative
President Obama, in his role of campaigner in chief, acted like a cheerleader in Ohio. He was screaming and shouting and attempting to get the crowd all fired up. He loses any sense of being the president when he gets on stage. His speeches sound more like a pep rally then they do the thoughtful musing of a leader.
If he wants to create confidence by cheering the nation on in his speeches, maybe he should talk about America's greatness instead of our mistakes. A "morning in America" speech is what the people needed after Carter. Reagan never once mentioned Carter, yet Obama cannot stop mentioning Bush. He has made it perfectly clear it is not his fault. It is Bush's fault – and America's fault.

He throws things at the wall hoping something will stick. He offers large doses of class warfare, suggesting the wealthy among us are the source of all our problems. Then he pivots to attack big corporations that don't allow your children or the infirmed to see a doctor, and he ends with a flurry of pathological lying about how his programs have created millions of jobs no one else seems to see.
All the while, he is hoping we might believe even a scintilla of what he is offering. He appears angered by the fact that we don't "get" how much he has done for this country. That we, the lemmings, should be grateful we have a man like him fixing the problems. To him giving a good speech solves all the ills our nation faces, and we just don't get it. We are just not smart enough.
It appears, however, that his failures or broken promises are not going to hold him back in his attempt to foist his party onto his shoulder and carry it to victory in November. If he has to do it all by himself, he believes he's going to do it.
Barack Hussein Obama may just be another Muhammad Ali playing the "roper dope" with his critics and the American electorate. Allowing his opponent to get him on the ropes and appear to be on the edge of defeat, Ali would then explode with a flurry of punches thrown in such perfect order that opponents were shocked, stunned and surprised before they hit the canvas.
It may be the same with Mr. Obama.

He could easily turn the whole election around by simply drawing the line in the sand with Iran. Iran has killed our soldiers with IEDs in Iraq, sold weapons to Syria, pursued nuclear weapons in defiance of international pressure and now pays a bounty of $1,000 each on the heads of our military personnel serving in the Middle East. Iran offers an additional $6,000 for each U.S. military vehicle the Taliban destroy as well. So, clearly, we are at war with Iran.
I would not put it past Mr. Obama, in the pursuit of saving his party, to announce a military strike on Iran if it doesn't immediately cease any and all attacks against America and come into full compliance with U.N. sanctions. If he then attacked Iran, the nation would rally around him and he would waltz to victory in 2010 with Ms. Pelosi and quack Harry Reid by his side.
You think it couldn't happen? Think again. This man will do anything to retain power. He said he went to Washington to "tackle difficult challenges" and to get past the political divide. I believe him. That divide is to make a nation of one party, one thought, one direction – all according to Mr. Obama's vision for America. He clearly lied to become president.

There is only one hope.
Mr. Obama's thin-skinned nature has revealed that an extremely insecure person lies just below the surface. The ton of inexperience he harbors shows through at the most inopportune times. His lack of political prowess may be his downfall.
When a president mentions nine times in a speech Minority Leader Boehner's name, who is virtually unknown to the American people, he brings attention to an opponent who would otherwise not be known to the average voter. That is extremely bush league for any seasoned politician. The president doesn't stoop down to that level if he is in full command. Experience would dictate otherwise.
Mr. Obama might be able to tell the pilot of Air Force One where to go or the White House chef how he wants his Waygu beef prepared, but he surely isn't able to direct a country when the smallest criticism from a virtual unknown is met with a defensive outburst from a ego-crushed adolescent. Someone on team Axelrod should remind Barack he is the president. Decorum is in order. Decorum was in vogue when he bowed to the Saudi king. Why not the American people?

When Mr. Obama starts asking reporters at his press conferences, which look more like excuse conferences to me, what he as the president should be doing, he is showing his thin skin. When asked why he wouldn't call the last $50 billion of spending "stimulus," he responded with the question, "That's what I am suppose to be doing (stimulating), isn't it?" Are you unsure, Mr. President, or are you looking for approval?
Men who do the right thing and live by their convictions never look for the approval of others. Their approval comes in the act itself.
Only an unsure man who is more concerned about how we feel about him than how he is doing takes such an approach. The insecurity of this president is showing itself every time he speaks. It may be the lack of a father in his life. He appears to have a unnatural need to be involved with everything, everywhere, all the time. Even the choice of local dog catcher to the mosque at Ground Zero appears to be important to Mr. Obama. Has anyone taught him how to prioritize?
Our president's narcissism causes him to believe we also need his opinion on issues like foolish pastors burning Qurans. Doesn't he know all that will do is lead to more nut jobs performing the same type of stunts, knowing their outrageous behavior will get the attention of the president? For Mr. Obama and Secretary Gates to claim this puts our military in harm's way is ludicrous. They are already in harm's way. It is called war.

Does any sane person think Islamists will kill fewer Americans if we don't burn a Quran? Look, I think it is stupid to burn any book, but it is eminently more stupid for the president to engage this type of behavior with a presidential response. It continually reminds us just how far out of his league he is and just how unqualified he is to be president. He is rapidly becoming his own worst enemy. The more he talks, the more he makes a fool of himself. He doesn't know when to be presidential.
So my personal thanks to the mainstream media in America for not making a bigger fool out of our president than he is already making of himself. They should continue to cover his flaws just like they did for their other socialist hero, FDR. Then maybe we have a fighting chance to survive his four-year reign of chaos.
Jimmy Carter will be more than happy to be replaced by Mr. Obama. That way, Jimmy will only be the second worst president in American history.
