Inventions that have come from America have doubled the life expectancy through advances in medicine and nutrition and have allowed people to travel at the speed of jets. And its economy has provided the greatest wealth to the largest number of people in history. But just exactly what is the secret of the American model of civilization?
Author W. Cleon Skousen explains exactly what has happened in "The 5000 Year Leap: The Miracle That Changed the World," the top seller for the second week in a row at WND's Superstore.

Skousen says shortly after the Constitution was enacted, a free-enterprise system – an economy with little government influence that flourishes with competition of businesses – was established. He says it is because of this system that America became the most advanced and powerful country that world history has known.
Skousen covers in detail how the U.S. Constitution was designed, and he describes the principles that inspired the nation's founders, drawing from the studies of Cicero, Locke, Montesquieu and Adam Smith.

He also contrasts the affluence of a young U.S. with what the nation is now, analyzes problems through history that have come from failing to follow the Constitution, such as national debt, and features in an understandable format the stereotypes and labels that have been applied to the "Left" and "Right."

The nation, literally, made a 5,000-year leap in progress, he argues.

In second place is one of the best-selling items of all of 2010: "The Constitution of the United States," a pamphlet that actually has been a best-seller about a dozen times over recent months.
It's printed by the National Center for Constitutional Studies and it has been proofed word for word against the original Constitution housed in the National Archives in Washington.
It is identical in spelling, capitalization and punctuation. The 48-page document also includes the Bill of Rights, Amendments 11-27, The Declaration of Independence and a complete index of the Constitution.

On the front cover of this pocket Constitution there is a four-color picture of George Washington holding a quill in his hand, inviting each of us to pledge our support for and commitment to the Constitution of the United States by maintaining and promoting its standard of liberty for ourselves and our posterity.

In third place is "The Brotherhood of Darkness" and "Hope of the Wicked" in a special bundle.
The books, starting with "Brotherhood of Darkness," answer the questions: "Are secret societies controlling the world's destiny?" and "Why are powerful groups like the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderbergers and others seldom ever mentioned?"

The book tells a story, "incredible but true."
"It is a story of secret societies, how they have directed the course of civilization and how they influence our lives today," a review of the book confirms. "The average person has been conditioned to reject any thought of such organizations. Very few of us have heard of the esoteric societies and arcane organizations that are discussed in this book. Their existence has been cleverly concealed from public scrutiny, but American surgeon and author, Dr. Stanley Monteith, reveals the amazing facts he discovered in his almost 40 years of international travel, research and tenure in South Africa."
In "Hope of the Wicked," author Ted Flynn "will open your eyes to the greatest deception in modern history." It explores the convergence on a global basis of multinational corporations, foundations and the political and sociological instruments of a one-world government to bring about a New World Order.
It explains:
