Two years ago, we turned our country over to the arrogant, the incompetent and the evil. Since then, the tyrants we put in power have steamrolled the systematic destruction of America, our freedoms and our way of life. Want some hope? In less than 30 days we get to take it back.
We will take the keys away from the drunk drivers. But how? Vote "all the bums out"? No. Despite past disappointments, Democrats and Republicans are not interchangeable. The pervasive thought that they are both equally bad is far from correct, and an objective analysis of party voting patterns in Congress overwhelmingly refutes this.
As Rick Scarborough of Vision America pointed out at a press conference yesterday, according to the ratings of the non-partisan American Conservative Union (ACU – founded in 1964), one party consistently votes for higher taxes, more spending, weak national defense and social chaos. The other party votes just as consistently for lower taxes, fiscal restraint, national security and family values.

The ACU based its rating of 25 key votes taken in the House and Senate in 2009, including: so-called economic stimulus spending, federal takeover of health care, missile defense, confirmation of Eric Holder as attorney general and abortion funding.
They found that of Republicans in the House, nine out of 10 voted consistently for conservative values and positions, while more than eight out of 10 Senate Republicans did the same. Nine out of 10 Democrats were rated poor by the ACU for almost always voting against conservative positions.

I'd agree that by and large the tea-party candidates are much better than the old-guard Republicans. But, whether Karl Rove and the some in the GOP like it or not, most of those tea-party people are running as Republicans. Once elected, I think they'll help keep the others from running off-track, as well. As Phyllis Schlafly said yesterday, the Republican Party's platform agrees with us pro-life, pro-family Americans. What's great about this election is we get to take back both the U.S. House and the Republican Party!
Here are four action steps to help take our country back:
- Set the record straight. While many of us have been rightfully upset by actions of Republicans, the fact of the matter is nine out of 10 Republicans in the House and eight out of 10 Republicans in the Senate are voting right on the key issues.
- Use these voter guides and Congressional Scorecards for key House and Senate races. Available from Faith2Action, they are approved for everyone – including churches and nonprofit 501(c)3 organizations. Take them to your church with this letter from Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel and Dean of Liberty University School of Law.
If your pastor or organization leader is hesitant, be sure to let them know that Liberty Counsel will not only provide free legal advice to them, but should anyone challenge them about distributing the voter guides, they will also represent them – for free!
We'll go one better. If your church or organization wants to use these, just let us know by hitting the "contact" button at www.f2a.org and we'll even customize them with your church's name or logo along with – or instead of – Faith2Action's!
In the meantime, if you know people in these states, e-mail these to them, or link to them on Facebook:

U.S. Senate - Watch and circulate these videos to everyone you know. The first one is 30 seconds, the second a bit longer, but both will inspire you to put your faith to action!
- Fast and pray until Election Day. One suggestion: while the fate of our nation and our families is being decided, fast from television and spend the time praying for our nation with your family.
Be sure to check back at www.f2a.org as more are being added.
Yes, this year I'm voting for hope and change. After two years of the policies of destruction, we finally get the chance to take our country back.
You can help when you fast, use these voter guides and send these videos. And if you're unsure what to do in a given race, vote Republican; it's our best chance to replace the arrogance, incompetence and evil.
