The mullah in chief and his 'Arab bazaar'

As if President Barack Hussein Obama had not yet learned his "lesson" from a week ago Tuesday's mid-term election results, our fearless leader has unabashedly pressed ahead with his public-relations "jihad" to further Islamic interests, both at home and abroad, with his pilgrimage last Wednesday to the Istiquil Mosque in Indonesia.

Gushing over his protracted stay in Indonesia during his boyhood – as Obama's stepdad was Indonesian – the president used the occasion to profusely praise Islam and take yet another swipe at what many Americans believe is his adopted country, the United States. Here are the latest words of wisdom from regrettably a president who has become seen as our "mullah in chief":

"If you ask me – or any of my schoolmates who knew me back then – I don't think any of us could have anticipated that I would one day come back to Jakarta as president of the United States."

Then, vowing a "new beginning" with Islam in the most populous Muslim country in the world, and proclaiming years of distrust created by the American wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, Obama then praised the "great world religion (of ) Islam."

Having previously suggested he was Muslim years ago, during his Cairo University speech shortly after he was elected, his later disrespectful treatment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a state visit to the White House, notwithstanding his belligerent condemnation of the Jewish state's continued rightful settlements on the West Bank, his canceling of the White House National Day of Prayer commemoration but instead feting the Muslim holy day of Ramadan, and his endorsement of the Ground Zero mosque, Obama's latest pandering to and promotion of the Islamic world is simply proof positive that he is not a Christian at heart. But as important, Obama is sending continued signals of his weakness to Arab terrorist states and the mullahs in Tehran, who are bent on world Islamic domination and the destruction of the Judeo-Christian civilization, at a crucial time when Iran is on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons, continuing to support Hezbollah and Hamas, and putting bounties on the heads of American servicemen killed in Afghanistan.

But the mullah in chief's latest trip overseas was not only marked by his obsessive fetish to further Islam, but also a return to the Clintonesque practice of taking U.S. industry leaders on trade missions and doing business for them at taxpayer expense. During his trip to India, which preceded his trek to Indonesia, Obama openly solicited business for tycoons, many of whom traveled with him. Not only does this demean the presidency and turn it the into the equivalent of an "Arab bazaar," but this practice makes a mockery of our free-enterprise system, where companies are supposed to compete on their own without government intervention.

We all know what happened when Bill and Hillary Clinton tried this gig, putting foreign trade missions to "good political use" by selling seats on these trade missions to large Democratic donors who anted up $100,000 a pop in campaign contributions to have then-Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown, fundraiser extraordinaire, do their bidding with foreigners. It was a case that I filed while chairman and general counsel of Judicial Watch that uncovered what was perhaps the biggest scandal in American history – Chinagate – which revealed that the Clintons and the Democrats, who then occupied the White House, were being bribed by the Chinese to lower the barriers to the export of American high technology to our communist foe – thereby compromising U.S. national security.

I cannot prove it at this time, but I do believe that my continued investigative efforts at Freedom Watch and elsewhere will prove in the near future that, like the Clintons, President Obama and his Democratic comrades are – borrowing a game plan from Bill and Hill, the Bonnie and Clyde of American politics – taking large amounts of cash from Muslim interests and countries, like Iran. And with Ms. Hillary as secretary of state, who better – given her proven criminal track record – to execute and carry out this caper?

Because, like the Clinton White House and the Democrats after the 1994 midterm elections, which as in the recent midterm elections flipped control of Congress to the Republicans, the Obama White House is in serious trouble politically, and the re-election of the mullah in chief in 2012 looks very unlikely today.

Huge amounts of campaign cash will thus be "needed" for Obama and his socialists to stave off almost certain defeat in 2012, as the Clintons needed this cash infusion for the 1996 presidential election to maintain control of the White House.

This all may help explain Obama's strange obsession in continuing to push "the Muslim thing," while most Americans stand by aghast at this seemingly politically destructive behavior. We then have to ask ourselves: Was our president paid off by Islamic foes to bow down and pander to them and their professed radical religion? Only time will tell, but I for one am not going to rock back in my easy chair and not try to get to the bottom of this outrage.

The future of our nation, Israel and our other Western allies and is at stake!

No, it is not time, even as we celebrate Veterans Day, to allow our mullah in chief to do as he pleases.
