We should indeed be very grateful for the uprising of the people and the grace given by God that resulted in the massive swing of governing philosophy in the U.S. House of Representatives and state governments across the land. Even the vote to hold Charlie "I'm not corrupt" Rangel accountable and to censure was a breath of fresh air.

The new Republican majority will have its hands full just greasing the tracks to stop the Marxist locomotive with the "M's" still in majority of two branches and running wild in the bureaucratic infrastructure of every branch and agency.

We were also reminded through the TSA "Scan or Grope" fiasco that mindless bureaucrats are still in charge of much of our ship of state. Who ceded the authority over the freedom of 300 million citizens to this agency?

An enemy combatant just received a slap on the wrist in civilian courts as if he had constitutional rights. Who made the decision to alter 224 years of precedent to grant our enemies such rights?

Yes, Mabel, the Food and Drug Administration is on the threshold of controlling, regulating and even criminalizing the act of storing seeds, growing and selling vegetable at a farmer's market or to neighbors, and worse.

S. 510, the "FDA Food Safety Modernization Act" (sponsored by Sen. Dick Durban of Illinois), expands the powers of the FDA as follows, as cited in NaturalNews.com:

This tyrannical law puts all food production (yes, even food produced in your own garden) under the authority of the Department of Homeland Security.
This law would also give the U.S. government the power to arrest any backyard food producer as a felon (a "smuggler") for merely growing lettuce and selling it at a local farmer's market.
It also sells out U.S. sovereignty over our own food supply by ceding to the authority of both the World Trade Organization (WTO) and Codex Alimentarius.
It would criminalize seed saving, turning backyard gardeners who save heirloom seeds into common criminals. This is obviously designed to give corporations like Monsanto a monopoly over seeds.

I constantly have the feeling we are living in a parallel universe watching a bad comedy/horror drama come to life. The galloping tyranny that has trampled on our faith, our values, our freedoms, our economy and now micromanages even our garden seeds from Washington, D.C., must have Karl Marx leaping for joy, if that's possible where he is likely residing.

The manic political swings in this country represented by the 2008 and 2010 elections are indicators of a nation that has for too long let our emotions and our immediate needs drive our votes. It's time for the people to "die," starting with pastors and our flocks.

We will not in one or two elections – if ever – untangle the intricate web of federal government intrusion we have allowed apart from a true national revival of the selfless courage and sacrifice exemplified by our military to take ground foot by foot. That change starts in the heart and in the head, birthed by a rebirth of the Spirit.

We must destroy the self-driven "What's in it for me?" mindset that has given politicians and those with an agenda for their own gain free reign with our freedom.

We must stand boldly and fearlessly from every pulpit that has any remaining commitment to preach the whole word of God.

We must have the same resolve to do battle in the realm of politics that was required to defeat the Axis Powers by the Greatest Generation.

Fifty million died because the church in Germany and too many of the German people sought economic gain and restoration of national pride over loyalty to their God – and because Chamberlain did not stop him when the cost would have been low.

As we enter the coming phase of the new Republican majorities in state legislatures, new governorships and change in Congress, it is vital that we assume that the leftists who were temporarily vanquished will not go to sleep and that the Stupid Party will fumble some of the balls. Nothing new.

Self-governing is dirty, messy, confrontational, painful, wearisome, frustrating and downright contemptible at times – and the only alternative to the totalitarianism or dictatorships that result in yielding that power to those who promise "hope and change."

Don't give up, don't give in and stay the course in holding this ground while we take the rest back, even if it requires the rest of our lives and beyond.
