On my Facebook fan page, I do a daily commentary called "My Daily Rant." On December 21, I wrote:
"Last night my friend and I watched [a movie called] 'The Blind Side' for at least [the] 30th time. As I documented in a column (The blind side or the wise side; WND.com; 11/2/10) weeks ago – [that] while a good film, a lot of it is purely fictional. What isn't fictional is [that] a family cared enough to get involved personally in a young man's life and it made a difference. It made a difference to Michael Oher and to their family and it doggone sure made a difference in their [respective] communities. But where it apparently hasn't made a difference is in the lives and minds of race-baiters. They have failed to notice that a white family took in a young black man, raised him as their own [child] and provided for him in a way that enabled him to fulfill a potential outside of his [now] successful football career. It allowed him to realize stability, [experience] security, expectations, boundaries, and love. Kinda reminds me of the 'True' gift of Christmas, but then race-baiters would miss that [also]."
Specific to the aforementioned there's a lot more good going on between Americans, regardless of color, than there is bad. But that's not what race-baiters want to concentrate or focus on. They would rather have people focus on anecdotal offenses and perceived grievances because that allows them to argue the validity of their existence. And tragically, people (mostly black) buy into it.

As I've argued many times, whites have better things to do than get up each morning plotting against blacks and trying to figure out new ways of being insulting. And yet, that is precisely the thought that goes unrecognized in communities and households of color on a daily basis.

We need not invest much time in thought to come up with examples of that which is branded, racist or unfair when it comes to blacks. But when is the last time we've heard of good things taking place between Americans?
Blacks have become their own worst enemy. Their resentment and bitterness toward Jewish employers, white landlords, conservative politicians, tea parties, neighborhoods they don't live in, schools that actually teach, government programs that they think don't specifically cater to them, and anything or anyone that refuses to accept them as a victim class, has cornered far too many in a misery-perpetuating trap of their own making.

America, and specifically those who are white, are not the enemy of blacks. Welfare, self-segregation, perceived insults and those who foment same in order to make personal gain are the enemies.
One of the latest examples is Al Sharpton's calling for the FCC to remove Rush Limbaugh from the airwaves. This raw First-Amendment gambit masks his true motives, which are to extort money from Rush's sponsors and to expand his radio show to multiple markets without having to pay for airtime.
On the National Center Blog, we commented the following: "In interviews on MSNBC's 'Ed Show' on December 6 and on Tom Joyner's syndicated radio show on December 15, Sharpton talked about his current efforts to get the Federal Communications Commission … to force Rush off the air by denying broadcast licenses to the stations that carry him. Sharpton says he wants the government to kick people off the air if they 'offend' based on race, gender, or sexual orientation. But it's apparently OK to smear people as racist and not justify that powerful accusation." (Mychal Massie on Al Sharpton's "Hush Rush" Campaign; David W. Alamsi; 12/22/10)
As I responded: "Sharpton's past accusations of racism and police wrongdoing are the untoward social monstrosities we have come to expect from him as a way of seeking fortune and recognition." But the only person that benefits from that which the ignorant applaud him for is Sharpton.

People are being directed away from the many unambiguous fellowships and enjoinings between those of different colors. The pimping of insults (mostly perceived) has become a patrilineal legacy of Dr. King's good work.
There's no mention of the harmony that's enjoyed by so many Americans of different colors. And those blacks who do enjoy same are castigated by the hate-filled who are still looking for a black revolution.
As the year draws to a close, look around you at the relational advancements Americans enjoy. Let those examples be your locus classicus, not anger, resentment, the Sharpton types and perceived insult. Because not to do so is an Erebusic way to maintain the vitriol that promotes disunity and grievance for personal and political gain.
