Louis Farrakhan, the leader of the Nation of Islam, one of America's largest cults, has announced to his followers that Islam's Mahdi-messiah is now present in the world.
Farrakhan recently delivered the keynote address at the Nation of Islam's annual Savior's Day event to a capacity crowd of 16,000 at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill. The message was also webcast live via the Internet and watched by many more thousands of his followers.
Outside observers of the Nation of Islam have taken note of the outright hateful and loony nature of its leader's rants in the past, but Farrakhan's speech this year literally made Charlie Sheen stable.

Farrakhan addressed a wide range of topics, including the Nation of Islam's positive relationship with the Church of Scientology and his interpretation of events as they are unfolding throughout the Middle East.
Concerning the revolutionary uprisings throughout the Islamic world, Farrakhan warned the United States, "You'd better prepare because it will be coming to your door, America!"

Farrakhan then declared, "This is a sign that The Great Mahdi that the Muslim world has been looking for is present in the world."

The Mahdi is Islam's primary messiah figure who Muslims believe will appear in the end times to unify the Islamic world and cause Islam to be victorious over the non-Muslim world. In recent weeks, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, has also claimed that the various uprisings in the Islamic world are "clear signs" that the appearance of the Mahdi is near.
The Nation of Islam is a uniquely American cultic religious group, which combines elements of Black Nationalism, Islam, numerology, UFO mythology and apparently Scientology as well. The result is a downright disturbing potpourri of Islam, Black Nationalism, anti-Americanism and the downright bizarre.
During his speech in Rosemont, Farrakhan focused on Wallace Fard Muhammad, whose real name was simply Wallace Ford, the founder of the Nation of Islam:
He is a world traveler who had visited every inhabited part of our planet. He spoke 16 different languages, and wrote 10. He extracted the language, and pictured the people on Mars. He told us of life on all of the planets. He spoke the language of the birds.
Unfortunately Farrakhan didn't elaborate as to which bird dialects Fard spoke specifically, but it is quite apparent that Farrakhan himself speaks the language of the loon.

Farrakhan moved on to further detail some of his group's famous UFO doctrines:
It was Master Fard Muhammad who pointed out to us a dreadful-looking plane in the sky, a half-a-mile by a half-a-mile. A plane that had two natures and two functions like himself: He is a savior, but he also is a destroyer! And that wheel that is above our head has those same two functions.
The Nation of Islam actually teaches its followers that a giant invisible UFO hovers above the earth, awaiting the Day of Judgment, when all "white-devils" will be destroyed, assumedly by some sort of death ray.
But the wonders did not cease there. Farrakhan then went on to discuss "Master" Fard's exceedingly great mathematical prowess:

Master Fard Muhammad taught us the diameter of the Sun: 853,000 miles. He taught us the diameter of our Universe: 76 quintillion miles. He taught us the speed of thought: 24 billion miles per second. He weighed the water of Lake Michigan!
While most orthodox Muslims reject the Nation of Islam as a cultic group, some foreign Muslim leaders have nonetheless embraced Farrakhan and his group, offering him their hand of fellowship. Ironically, Libyan leader Col. Moammar Gadhafi is the most prominent of these Muslim leaders.
Gadhafi recently claimed that the rebels in Libya had been induced to reject his authority only because Osama bin Laden had spiked their Nescafe with hallucinogenic drugs.
Gadhafi is also a close acquaintance of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Barrack and Michelle Obama's longtime friend and spiritual mentor who married the Obamas and baptized both of their daughters. In 1984, Rev. Wright and Minister Farrakhan traveled together to visit their friend Gadhafi in Tripoli.

On a radio interview in Chicago, Farrakhan recently offered Obama a warning not to attack Gadhafi:
I warn my brother do not let these wicked demons move you in a direction that will absolutely ruin your future with your people in Africa and throughout the world. … Why don't you organize a group of respected Americans and ask for a meeting with Gadhafi. You can't order him to step down and get out; who the hell do you think you are?
Farrakhan completed his exposition of the great truths of life with a strong warning to the United States:

This is the time of war. … This is The Day of Your Doom! The end of your world has arrived! What you're looking at happening in Tunisia, in Egypt, in Yemen, in Jordan, in Libya, in Bahrain will soon – very soon – happen in all the nations of the world. And even sooner to take place in America. … While it's happening there, you better prepare, because it will be coming to your door, America! And I hope that President Obama will remember his instructions to other nations: "Be careful how you attack and kill innocent people who are protesting." Take your own words into your bosom, and be reminded when it comes to your door!
Obama has declined to comment.
Farrakhan concluded his speech by tying the recent protests in Wisconsin to the coming of the Mahdi and the destruction of the United States:
This is a sign that The Great Mahdi that the Muslim world has been looking for is present in the world. … And all tyrants will be set down – God is stimulating the rise of the masses, and soon it will come to America's shores. Indeed it has already begun.
