A Minnesota ministry leader who brought a legal action against MSNBC's Rachel Maddow over her alleged misrepresentation of his statements about Christianity and Islam now has written a letter to President Obama calling on him to turn from his campaign to impose homosexuality on America.
"Mr. President, when you took your oath during your inauguration, you put your hand on the Bible and swore to uphold the Constitution, 'so help me God,' in front of the American people who entrusted you to be their president," wrote Bradlee Dean of the YouCanRunButYouCannotHideInternational ministry.

"Your predecessor President George Washington said, 'It is impossible to rightly govern the world without God and the Bible.' And by your oath you were affirming what has always been said and done by every one of your predecessors.
"Your predecessors condemned that which you, Sir, are advocating. Why did your predecessors condemn homosexuality? Because the God of the Mosaic institution, which established a Republican form of government (Exodus 18:21) through man, commanded us to condemn homosexuality.

"God's Word condemns sin everywhere. Not some sin, all sin. (Sin is the transgression of God’s Moral Law; 1 John 3:4.) Government's purpose, Mr. President, is to restrain men from sin, not to advocate sin," said the letter, posted on the YouCanRunButYouCannotHideInternational ministry website.

Dean, who also is a preacher, radio show host for "Sons of Liberty" and a professional drummer for the rap-core band "Junkyard Prophet," explained he is the main speaker for the hundreds of high school assemblies that his team has delivered to more than 330 high schools in 22 states.
Their goal is to encourage students to make good choices in their lives.
"During these assemblies I would teach the students that sodomy was illegal in every state up until 1961 and if you were caught in the act of sodomy, you could be imprisoned for up to 20 years in some states. I would also show that homosexuals were considered to be mentally ill until 1973. Sodomy was rightly called 'crimes against nature.' Then I would ask the students, 'Now what are you being taught?' I'll tell you Mr. President, just the opposite. The students are being forced to accept homosexuality, or else… What is this all about, Mr. President? Homosexuality is not 'new' or 'progressive' as any student of history knows. Rather the reason early lawmakers in the country took the positions they did on homosexuality had to do with their vast knowledge and experience of the issue. They knew very well that it was not only against God's Law, but experience had shown them that every nation that allowed it to profligate had eventually seen horrible judgment."
He pointed out that the Bible is specific in condemning homosexual behavior, with the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah over those activities, and in the New Testament, citing men "leaving the natural use of the woman" and burning "in their lust one toward another."
However, Dean's letter cited a list of Obama agenda items on the subject:

- Kevin Jennings: "Why did you choose Kevin Jennings, founder of GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian, Straight Education Network) as your 'Safe School' czar?" Dean described Jennings, who has since left the post, as "the individual who wrote the forward to a book called 'Queering Elementary Education.'
"Kevin Jennings has made clear that Harry Hay is one of his heroes. Harry Hay, Mr. President, is an icon for the organization NAMBLA (North American Man Boy Love Association – a known pedophile group…," Dean wrote.
- "Mr. President, have you taken time to read the Homosexual Manifesto, which was first published by Gay Community News on February 15-21, 1987?" he asked. He noted the primary goal: "We shall sodomize your sons … they will be recast into our images." It states "your sons shall become our minions," and threatens to "close" churches where homosexuality is condemned."
"Are not these threats a call for incarceration? Why are they instead labeled as victims?" Dean wrote.
- Hate Crimes: "Mr. President, I don't think you have taken the time to see that the radical gay agenda concerning hate crimes is a contrived lie. Please, let me explain. … Matthew Shepard was brutally beaten, tied to a fence, and left for dead. This was portrayed as a hate crime because Shepard was a homosexual. However, investigators in the case and the killers themselves said it was a bungled burglary not motivated by hate. Recently, one of Shepard's murderers told ABC news that he was high on methamphetamine during the attack and it was the drugs that sparked his rage, not Matthew Shepard's orientation."
- Gay "marriage": "At least 31 of the 50 states thus far have put their foot down on the illegalities of gay marriage. Why are you and your administration targeting the family, Mr. President? I am sure that you are well aware that implementing homosexual marriage upends our Constitution."
- ENDA and DOMA: "Or what of Jon Berry, Mr. President, who is a part of your administration? Jon Berry, another open homosexual, said, 'If we can get ENDA (Employment Non-Discrimination Act, mandating employers to hire homosexuals, lesbians, transvestites etc.) enacted and signed into law, it is only a matter of time before all the rest (overturning Defense of Marriage Act) happens.'"
- Elena Kagan: "Mr. President, why did you appoint Elena Kagan to such a high position of responsibility? Mr. President, how is this justice? You, Mr. President, appoint Elena Kagan, former Dean of Harvard Law School, as a Supreme Court Justice," he asked. He pointed out at Harvard Kagan legitimized the "gay rights" concept, recruited a teacher for "queer" legal theory, promoted a "transgender" legal agenda, and others.
- Key administrators: "Mr. President, you have put over 190 homosexuals, lesbians and transvestites into positions of power in government. These positions include: U. S. Department of Homeland Security, Department of Treasury, Department of Legislature affairs at the Department of Justice, Department of Defense, Department of Health and Human Services, Department of Education, President's Advisory Counsel on Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. and The White House."
"When appointing these individuals it looks pretty biased as to who you appointed and where you placed them. It's clear to see that they were put into key positions where they could legislate unlawfully toward anyone who does not agree with the homosexual lifestyle.
- Military: "Mr. President, nobody respects this country’s military more then my ministry does. What an awesome display of heroism and love on the behalf of the American veterans towards their countrymen. But Mr. President, what is going on inside of the Pentagon?" he wrote. He cited "Operation Flicker," which reported discovered hundreds of government employees using child porn on government computers.
Also, the president has worked to install open homosexuality in the military, Dean noted, through the repeal of the longstanding "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" practice.
"Mr. President, since you seem to be adamant about persevering in this radical homosexual agenda, you should remember that you now profess your Christian faith. The Bible you swore in on commands you to tell the homosexual communities that their sin is before God. You should also be fair to the homosexual community and tell them about the high rate of diseases and early death rates that go along with their lifestyle. If you claim to care for them, why don’t you tell them the truth? It's the truth that sets them free," Dean said.

![]() MSNBC host Rachel Maddow upon being served with a lawsuit late Monday evening, Aug. 8, 2011 |
The lawsuit alleges defamation for her references to Dean's YouCanRunButYouCannotHideInternational ministry.
The case claims left-leaning interests are trying to undercut the presidential campaign of U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., by attacking people with whom she has associated, including the ministry. Bachmann's campaign is focused on a return to traditional values regarding marriage, fiscal policy and government.
WND reported the lawsuit was announced by Dean and his attorney, Larry Klayman.

The complaint by Dean, a former heavy metal rocker, is based on Maddow's assertion that Dean advocated the execution of homosexuals.
According to the complaint, the false characterization started with reporter Andy Birkey of the Minnesota Independent.
"Defendant Burkey, on information and belief, took a 'special interest' in plaintiffs Dean and (his ministry) YCR because he is a secularist and/or atheist and gay activist with a politically left ideology who despises people of faith, including but not limited to the congresswoman Michele Bachmann, MN, who is running for the presidency of the United States, and is a conservative Christian as well.
"On information and belief, defendant Burkey, the Minnesota Independent, Rachel Maddow, and NBC and MSNBC, in concert with others, have set out to and did willfully and maliciously harm the presidential campaign of congresswoman Michele Bachmann. Not coincidentally, Rachel Maddow is also of a leftist political ideology, who as a committed and also proud lesbian is active in the so called 'gay rights' movement. She views plaintiffs and congresswoman Bachmann a threat to 'gay rights,'" the claim explained.

It continued, "On information and believe … [in defaming] plaintiffs Dean and YCR and holding in a false light plaintiff Dean, all of the defendants, each and every one of them, maliciously set out to and did harm not only the plaintiffs but by extension also the presidential campaign of congresswoman Michele Bachmann."
In May 2010, Birkey wrote wrote an article titled "GOP-linked punk rock ministry says executing gays is 'moral'" that tried to link Bachmann to the ministry. Bachmann had praised the ministry previously.
The complaint said Maddow "outrageously disparaged Bradlee Dean's physical appearance, his first name and his profession as a heavy metal entertainer and his standing in the community and represented that he and YCR had advocated the execution of gays."

As a result, Dean has had death threats, the lawsuit said.
The action seeks $50 million damages.
Klayman, the founder of Judicial Watch and now of Freedom Watch, said money is not the issue.
"This case is filed as a matter of principle," he said. "We need more Bradlee Deans in the world and hateful left wing television commentators must be made to respect not only his mission but the law."

Since the Independent report and its followup, Klayman noted, the original accusation has spread. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune said Dean's comments were "read as advocating executions for gay people," KARE- TV in Minneapolis reported his "controversial statements about gay persons," and the City Pages said Dean "has praised religious extremists who execute suspected homosexuals."
ABC jumped into the fray with a blog comment that Dean "has suggested homosexuals be executed."
