A billboard mocking President Obama is sparking accusations of racism in a New Orleans neighborhood.
The sign, which depicts Obama as either a dunce, a puppet or a crying baby in a diaper, was erected on private property by a homeowner.
Protesters have been gathering on the street outside the home demanding the sign and its message, “Change me, I stink,” be taken down.
“This is nothing but pure racism,” said Raymond Rock. “This is a disgrace.”
Some neighbors tell WWL-TV in New Orleans that the homeowner has been posting anti-Obama signs for months.
“I think it’s fine. It’s on his property,” said Katherine deMontluzin. “He can say whatever he wants.”
