Rick Perry recently had a brain fart during a presidential debate, and Herman Cain paused for 11 seconds before answering a question in an interview. The national media called them out for their slip-ups and are relentless in their condemnation of Republican politicos when they misstate a fact.

So, let's all take a little civics test.

Many of Obama's recurrent idiocies are not funny. In fact, they have become a national embarrassment.

While commending troops at Fort Drum, N.Y., for their completed deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan, President Obama said, "A comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn't receiving it posthumously." WRONG. Sgt. 1st Class Jared Monti was killed in action; another soldier, Sgt. Sal Giunta, was the first living recipient of the Medal of Honor that fought in Afghanistan.

During a trip to London's Westminster Abbey, President Obama signed the guest book and dated it May 2008. Oops. It was 2011

During the 2008 primary campaign, Obama said he was trailing Hilary Clinton in Kentucky because she hailed from Arkansas, and he was from far away Illinois. BUZZ. Illinois borders Kentucky. Arkansas does not.

On Wall Street reform, Obama said, "It is not the time" for corporations "to make profits."

While at a state dinner in England, Obama rose and began a toast to the queen – at the wrong time. As he started, the band struck up "God Save the Queen," but BO just struggled on while the queen and everyone else in the room sat frozen in embarrassment.

A few days ago he went to Australia and announced, "We are here to stay." Really? Did he buy a golf course?

Obama recently defended affirmative action programs, saying that he had benefitted by them when trying to get into an Ivy League school and then onto the Harvard Law Review. Indeed, in this instance he is right on target: He is the poster child for affirmative action. Obama is someone who has advanced first in academia and then in politics because of the color of his skin and not by the content of his character – or, quite obviously, his brains.
