The Palm Beach County Commission on Tuesday filed suit against Gov. Rick Scott, Attorney General Pam Bondi and the state legislature over a law that forced them to repeal several local restrictions on gun and ammunition.
The suit challenges the penalties that can be levied against commissioners and other government officials for failing to abide by the new law, saying that the sanctions "are simply a form of political bullying that serves no governmental purpose."
