No matter which Republican candidate wins the nomination, if elected president, he will undermine women's reproductive rights. We can expect many efforts to criminalize their reproductive choices.
Scientists and medical experts agree – contraception is important to women's health. The American Medical Association and the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologist recommend contraceptives. Doctors prescribe contraception for medical and health reasons, including the risk of some cancers, serious infections and cysts. Women using contraceptives reduce the risk of ovarian cysts, endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, uterine fibroid tumors, abnormal bleeding and pain associated with ovulation and anemia.

Iowa Rep. Kim Pearson wants to change Iowa law and consider an abortion a Class A felony punishable by up to 10 years and a $10,000 fine. Santorum wants to punish financially those on Medicaid for having children.
Many extremists cite the Bible, but what's in the Bible is subject to interpretation and manipulation. There is no sentence in the Bible that specifically addresses abortion. What the Bible does is describe the family as father, wife, son, daughter and child – there's no reference to an embryo or fetus.
