According to Joseph Farah, Rick Warren is "getting very close to heresy – if not crossing the line" ("Rick Warren's bridge to Islam") by claiming that Christians and Muslims "worship the same God." However, if one is using the Holy Bible as the standard of judgment, then Warren is without a doubt promoting heresy! Islam openly denies that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, claiming that he was nothing more than a mere prophet. What does the Bible say about that?
"Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-christ who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also" (1 John 2:22-23 NKJV).
Therefore, according to the Bible, Muslims are "liars" and Islam is an "anti-christ" religion. They worship neither the Father, nor the Son, nor the Holy Spirit, but rather a false god that is diametrically opposed to the one true God – the Triune God of the Bible. But what Farah fails to mention (or understand) is that this applies equally to the Jews, who openly deny that Jesus is the Christ (Messiah) and Son of God. Whether Farah wants to admit it or not, Jews likewise are "liars" and Judaism is an "anti-christ" religion.
