(NEWS) — A U.S. high-school basketball player was able to shoot baskets with perfect form - even while in a coma.
During her two-and-a-half month-long coma, Maggie Meier would cradle a beach ball in her hands then shoot it through her the arms of her sister, who formed a makeshift hoop, The Daily said today.
"I have never seen anything like it," Maggie's neurologist, Dr William Graf, said. "The act of shooting a basketball must have been ingrained as one of Maggie's basic instincts - her basketball-shooting motion came back to her even before she was able to stand up or walk again."
