The personal attacks on Sen. James Inhofe, R-Okla., from left-wing celebrities keep coming. The latest is from outspoken liberal actor Alec Baldwin, who tweeted to his followers that the senator was an "oil whore."
Soon afterward, the "30 Rock" star said, "We need to have Inhofe retire to a solar-powered gay bar."

Baldwin's reference to a "gay bar" was tweeted in response to comments by actor Matthew Modine, who played "Private Joker" in "Full Metal Jacket" and will appear in the upcoming "The Dark Knight Rises." Modine tweeted, "And how about his stance on #Homosexuality."
Modine also called the senator a "climate denying fool," though he misspelled the senator's name as "Inhote."

The latest sexually charged slurs come only days after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called the Oklahoma senator a "call girl." Kennedy never retracted his statements, later tweeting, "To my critics: What do you call a politician – democrat or republican – who sells the public interest for money"
The senator's office responded to the offensive tweets early today, stating, "These kind of outrageous statements made recently on Twitter by Robert Kennedy Jr. and Alec Baldwin stand in stark contrast to the civil debate Senator Inhofe had with Rachel Maddow last week."
"In truth, the far left and Hollywood elites have lost on their pet cause of global warming. The only way to get attention is to make outlandish and irresponsible comments on Twitter."
The senator appeared on the "Rachel Maddow Show" last Thursday for a discussion on climate change alarmism. Maddow attacked the senator for allegedly taking her past statements out of contest in his book, although she completely neglected the lengthy segment from her own show that Inhofe cited in "The Greatest Hoax."
Baldwin is continuing to use the phrase on his Twitter account even today and is attacking conservative women who drew attention to his remarks. A self-described Navy veteran named Heather Fearnside (@hmfearny) reminded Baldwin that he called the late Andrew Breitbart "a festering Boil on the Anus of P[ublic] discourse."

Baldwin simply tweeted back at her, "Oil whore."
The current firestorm over abusive language toward the senator comes amid continuing efforts by left-wing advocacy groups to pressure advertisers for Rush Limbaugh's radio program after his comments about pro-abortion activist Sandra Fluke.
The talk radio titan had referred to the 30-year-old Georgetown University graduate student as a "slut" after she testified before Congress in support of taxpayer subsidized contraception.
Baldwin addressed the comparison by tweeting, "But Fluke isn't a slut and Inhofe is an oil whore. Y'see?"

Baldwin's current sponsorships include Capital One, Hulu, Wegmans, New Era Caps and Bonefish Grill. He was briefly dismissed as a spokesman for Wegmans after an altercation on a flight last December but was reinstated after complaints from Baldwin's fans.
