A lot of people ask me, "Can Obama be defeated?" The too-often asked question is clearly an indication of doubt based on the power of his incumbency, the power of persuasive political propaganda and the power of a biased mainstream media.
Those dimensions are significant advantages for President Obama, but incumbency cannot overshadow failed policies if exposed, nor can propaganda prevail when vigorously challenged with the truth. And mainstream media bias cannot stand up when confronted with compelling facts.
We can defeat Obama if we do three things:

1) Effectively expose Obama's failed policies
2) Offer bold and specific solutions

3) Communicate and connect with key constituency groups
We refers to any person or group who wants to defeat Obama in November 2012. That's the collective mission. But too many people get distracted from the mission by political drama created by the media, or by non-mission-critical differences among various groups. Or they lose enthusiasm because of the fiercely competitive and negative nature of the Republican presidential primary process.

When we lose sight of the mission, it helps President Obama!
President Obama's failed policies are easily identifiable and delineated, but the mainstream media are not going to do the job of exposing them. We must expose them and simultaneously offer alternative bold solutions.
The voters are tired of generic and politically safe responses to our nation's problems. Many of our problems have reached crisis levels that require bold solutions. This is one reason my 9-9-9 economic growth and jobs plan is still so popular with the public and the voters. It starts with throwing out the existing tax code, which is bold.
Boosting the growth in our economy is our No. 1 domestic challenge. Voters do not want to hear, "Elect me, and I will tell you the solution after I am elected." That's what politicians do. People want problems solved.
Newt Gingrich's $2.50 per gallon goal for the price of gasoline is bold and specific with a specific plan to get there, but it is getting lost in the presidential campaign noise and the call by some to prematurely end the primary process by asking candidates to just drop out and let Mitt Romney assume the nomination.

The process is not perfect, but it is the process, and it will ultimately determine the Republican presidential nominee. When it does, we must unite to defeat Obama. It does not matter whether you call yourself a conservative, libertarian, Republican or tea-publican. We must work together.
To help bring people together who share the same mission, the eventual Republican nominee would be well advised to embrace any and all good ideas and solutions put forth during the primary process by other candidates, because good ideas and solutions have a unifying effect on the electorate.
In addition to connecting with the base, as it is called, the solutions message must also resonate with independents, people of faith, young voters and disgruntled Democrats. We don't need to change the message if it is a bold solutions-oriented message. We take the message to them where they get their information.
The activities and messaging by an increasing number of citizen-initiated political action committees is encouraging. But we need even more of them and more intensity from those already active.

Defeating President Obama in November at the ballot box will not be as easy as 1-2-3. But we can win if we keep our focus on the mission.
