(HOUSTON CHRONICLE) — When he worked vice years ago, Houston police officer Brian Hoffner recalls, he concealed his weapon by strapping it to his thigh with an ACE bandage.
The prostitutes he was investigating couldn't detect his gun, but the setup denied him quick access in case of an attack.
"I thought, 'Man, if I only had a zipper,' and then a light bulb went off," said Hoffner, a 30-year Houston Police Department veteran.
