Principal in oral-sex scandal demoted

'There's no reason why this guy should be keeping his job'

(N.Y. POST) They just won’t pull the plug on this guy.

A Bronx principal who once harassed female subordinates by talking about having sex with a copy machine is merely being demoted — yet maintaining an administrator’s title and salary, officials said yesterday.

Bronxdale HS Principal John Chase Jr. is being allowed to revert to assistant-principal status when he’s moved to another school next week, even amid a new allegation of misconduct.

Angry Bronxdale colleagues had been demanding his ouster since a city Department of Education probe confirmed in December that he had made at least three remarks about oral sex to staff.
