(Halifax Chronicle-Herald) William Swinimer is allowed to wear his now-famous yellow T-shirt proclaiming his Christian beliefs when he returns to school Monday.
The T-shirt, which says Life is Wasted Without Jesus, is not the issue, said Nancy Pynch-Worthylake, superintendent of the South Shore regional school board. The issue is how to express one’s beliefs without offending others.
"For us, it never really was about the one shirt," Pynch-Worthylake said Friday.

Swinimer, 19, is returning to school after serving a five-day suspension for wearing the T-shirt in school. That punishment came after an in-school suspension of about 12 days.
