(POLITICO) Mitt Romney on Thursday blasted the Supreme Court decision upholding the landmark health care legislation enacted by the man he wants to beat in November, President Barack Obama.
Delivering brief comments but taking no questions, Romney made the case that his candidacy is the only way to ensure repeal of the Affordable Care Act, which he labeled early in his remarks a “tax” that will hurt the economy.
“As you might imagine I disagree with the Supreme Court decision, and I agree with the dissent,” the presumptive GOP presidential candidate said. “Obamacare was bad policy yesterday, it’s bad policy today.”
