(The Coloradoan) Josh Hurley picked a good year get a taste of the firefighter lifestyle.
The 28-year-old has one semester left before he earns a bachelor's degree in forestry. On top of that, he has studied forest management and fire science at a time when the entire state, it would seem, is ablaze.
"You can't really get away from fire," Hurley said of his initial look at the list of courses he could study within Colorado State University's Warner College of Natural Resources.

Every job it seemed — whether a park ranger or forester, as Hurley would like to one day become — was connected in some fashion to flames, he said. And that was appealing.
