Lord Monckton joins commentary team

An internationally known challenger to the claims of climate-change alarmists and former special adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, The Viscount Monckton of Brenchley, debuts today as an exclusive commentator for WND.

Christopher Monckton calls himself "the high priest of climate skepticism," having written extensively about the science and politics behind so-called global warming. Many of his writings can be found on the webiste of the Science & Public Poicy Institute, for which he serves as chief policy adviser.

After serving Prime Minister Thatcher from 1982 to 1986, Monckton established a consultancy company, offering technical advice to both corporations and governments.He has given speeches, lectures and university seminars throughout the world, addressing climate science and other public-policy issues. In his writing and speeches, Monckton's deftly demonstrates the startling and ever-growing gap between official predictions of disaster and real-world observations and measurements, all of which, he says, are comfortably within the natural variability of the climate.

Prior to Monckton's tenure at 10 Downing Street, he worked in the newspaper industry, serving as the leader-writer at the Yorkshire Post, editor of the Catholic paper The Universe, managing editor of the Telegraph Sunday Magazine, assistant editor of Today and consulting editor of the Evening Standard.

As director of RESURREXI Pharmaceutical, Monckton is responsible for the invention and development of a broad-spectrum cure for infectious diseases. Patents have been filed.

A long-time member of Mensa International, Monckton invented the million-selling "Eternity Puzzles" and "Sudoku X."

As WND reported, Monckton in June warned his hereditary peers in the U.K. That the Obama presidency is in danger of falling because of evidence he considers conclusive that Obama's birth certificate is a forgery.

"Mr. Obama's legitimacy is now in doubt," Monckton proclaimed in a 20-page report.
