As someone whose heart stopped beating in the 1990s (I don't remember exactly when, it doesn't seem important anymore), I am writing to protest the new photo-ID voting laws. This makes it much more difficult for those of us with no pulse to vote. For many years we have been able to continue to vote in large numbers. But now, the people assisting us have to work for at least a half an hour to prepare suitable identification for each one of us that still desires to vote. This requires too many volunteers to produce enough identification for a sufficient number of us to actually affect the outcome of an election.
I am writing to ask your assistance in putting an end to this unfair law that places such a heavy burden on our ability to continue to vote after our hearts have stopped beating.
