Remember "The Vagina Monologues," a stage performance that premiered in 1996, in which an orifice took center stage?
The playwright responsible for these soliloquies from down under was Eve Ensler. Ms. Ensler had insisted that the survival of womanhood hung on encouraging a vulgar dialogue with and about "this much mumbled-about body part."
The 2012 Democratic National Convention under way has the feel of a "Vagina Monologues" revival.

With exceptions.
The weepy women dominating the event prove that Democratic distaff has come a long way since Ensler's troupe took to the stage to pan Priapus. No longer content to converse with an orifice in the confines of the theatre, these women want to force the conversation on the entire country, in dissembling, devious ways.

The feminist from Florida, Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, demonstrated that she has an allergy to the truth, finessed by friends in the media as feminine wiles.
An "alternate reality" is the postmodern speak with which Wasserman Schultz's sordid conduct was softened by her sisters-in-arms in the media (Y-chromosome carriers included). Wasserman Schultz was caught on camera in one of the many "barefaced lies" she tells with a straight face in the service of President Obama's central planning.

Unlike the poor Mr. Todd Akin, who is toast, wicked Wasserman will continue to put her velvety voice and forceful personality to use in ruthlessly promoting all things Obama.
Speaking of a sovereign disregard for the truth, Bill Clinton – the only white man at the Charlotte Convention Center – wowed the women (Y-chromosome comment above applies here too) in an address that sent chills up Chris Matthews' rutting leg. Just the other day, Clinton had defended Mitt Romney's private-sector job record. "This is good work," said the former U.S. president of the current Republican candidate. "I don't think we ought to get in a position where we say this is bad work," he scolded.
But now Bill Clinton had the treacle ready.
Duly, the Democratic president who (sort of) reformed welfare had come to praise the $5.4 trillion-dollar man – for that is how much Barack Obama added to the national debt between Jan. 20, 2009, and Sept. 3, 2012 – who had dialed back those very reforms.

In his prepared remarks for the Democratic National Convention on Sept. 5, Clinton canonized Obama: He was an economizing wunderkind, shepherding the country through a miraculous, if invisible, economic recovery.
"In the last 29 months the economy has produced about 4.5 million private-sector jobs," thundered Bill Clinton, even as Pinocchio's famous proboscis began to grow. This factoid was debunked earlier in the day on CNN. "About those 4.5 million jobs," the CNN Fact Checker ventured the following: "… overall, there are still fewer people working now than when Obama took office at the height of the recession."
As if they needed convincing, the man who had earned the "the first black president" honorific descriptor assured a crowd comprised mainly of minorities, more likely to be the recipients of taxpayer largess, that the Democratic Party was a good fit for them, and that "President Obama's approach" embodied America's founding virtues.
Harsh words did Bill Clinton have for the Republican brand of "repeal-and-replace statism," but not so far from the truth. Indeed, on the other side, a similar dishonesty sees the tom-tom beaten for tax cuts, as the imperative to slash military spending is ignored.

For pudding, there was Sandra Fluke (which explains why NBC chose to end the second day of the convention with NFL football). The vagina-centric activist is regarded as another arrow in the Democratic quiver.
Sandra demands that Sugar Daddy Sam compel Americans who toil in the insurance industry to provide her with contraceptives.
It would appear that Georgetown Law School had not read the lady her constitutional, natural rights. Fluke has every right to work to purchase her own Trojans (or is it Trivora?). She has no right to rope other Americans into supplying her with these prophylactics.
"The Vagina Monologues" were back with a vengeance. With this last solipsistic sister, the Democratic Convention had come full circle.
