(San Francisco Chronicle) A former staffer to the San Francisco Human Rights Commission pleaded not guilty Wednesday to six felony counts of possessing and distributing child pornography.

Investigators believe that the material Larry Brinkin, 66, is accused of spreading originated in Australia, District Attorney George Gascón said.

Brinkin, who is free after posting bail, appeared in San Francisco Superior Court for his arraignment. He and his attorney, Randall Knox, declined to discuss the case after the court hearing.
