While I know the president is not what we want, we are still called to pray for him and, as difficult as it is, to respect him. I remember reading that passage in the Bible when I was a child and had an alcoholic father. How do I respect that? But God calls us to do the difficult.
It’s easy to mock the president, and I admit he gives us a lot of opportunities! I have done it many times myself! But I also have felt convicted many times, so I would encourage you to also add some things in your mailings about the spiritual aspects of us dealing with these problems with the president – on our knees rather than just with our keyboards.
