(Washington Times) Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill was ready and waiting as the deadline passed Tuesday for her Republican opponent, Rep. Todd Akin, to drop out of the race.
And then she dropped the “legitimate rape” bomb.
Late Tuesday, the first-term Democrat released her first television ad that mentions the controversial remarks Mr. Akin made last month about rape, where he claimed that victims of “legitimate rape” are unlikely to become pregnant.
