(CLEVELAND LEADER) — According to the Federal Bureau of Investigations, newly designed $100 bills that will not go into circulation until next year, have been stolen.
According to FBI Agent Frank Burton Jr., the cash was stolen from a plane that arrived at Philadelphia International Airport around 10:25am on Thursday from Dallas.
The money was being transferred from the Federal Reserve Bank in Dallas to the Federal Reserve Bank in East Rutherford, New Jersey. When the plane arrived at PHL, the money was then placed inside an armored truck and taken on a three hour drive to the bank.
