(NBC) A San Diego woman whose son was killed in the Benghazi consulate attack criticized President Barack Obama for statements he made about Libya on "The Daily Show" according to a published report.
'It was a disrespectful thing to say and I don't think it's right," said Pat Smith whose son, Sean Smith, was killed on Sept. 11. Smith, 34, died alongside the U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens, Glen Doherty, 42, of Encinitas and Ty Woods, 41, of Imperial Beach. Smith was working as an Information Specialist at the consulate while Doherty and Woods were said to be providing security according to family members.
Obama appeared on the Comedy Central show with Jon Stewart after the second presidential debate at Hofstra University and he defended his response in the aftermath of the attack in Libya.
