In reference to a letter to the editor, from Neil, who does not like either candidate for president so he will not vote – if he really wants to get the political parties out of the hands of the few elitists and back to the people, he needs to start by withholding contributions and start a letter-writing barrage.
He should stop buying the books of Karl Rove, Newt Gingrich, Charles Krauthammer and all the other elitists who think it is only their territory to pick who the Republican candidates will be. He needs to start writing letters and sending emails to conservative talk-show hosts asking them to stop inviting the elites to come on their shows and then boycott when they are on. You have to show people that you are fed up, not sit home and pout. Politicos don't hear you until a sufficient number of voters scream at them.
I write to Bill O'Reilly, "Fox and Friends" and whoever else has those jokers on, that I will not watch their shows when they have those people as guests. If you stop buying their books, reading their articles, watching them on television, they will fall out of favor and then fade into history. I do this all the time but I can't do it alone. All of us who are voters need to express our displeasure at how these people have co-opted the Republican Party and tell them we will not contribute one more penny to any Republican political candidate until they start listening to us, the voters. And then don't contribute, and don't buy their trash. If their books don't sell and they are not watched on television or heard on radio, their influence will diminish.

I don't sit around and complain – I put actions to my dissatisfaction. It may or may not do any good, but saying nothing and pouting does nothing either. My family and extended family are large – we are a voting bloc of 41.
Can you imagine if the Republican national leadership, Fox News, Sean Hannity and WND received a couple of million letters and emails from dissatisfied Republican and independent voters? Even a couple of hundred thousand would make a dent in the armchair politicians' armor, and if the national leadership understands just how deeply our dissatisfaction runs with those people and their tactics they might start reigning those goobers in, especially if we withhold contributions.
Maybe if enough of us pour a little bleach into that gene pool of liberal elitists, we will get some new DNA to vote for.
