(KPTV) — Vandals damaged statues of baby Jesus and Joseph and removed the statues' heads at The Grotto in northeast Portland this week.
A total of three statues were damaged on The Grotto grounds Wednesday and Thursday evenings.
One statue depicts Joseph holding baby Jesus, but the heads of both Jesus and Joseph have been removed. A second statue of Joseph in the burial grounds also had its head removed. Two small angels on another statue also sustained damage.
