(DAILYMAIL) — Rolls-Royce has been sucked into a multinational corruption scandal, after it admitted being the subject of a bribery probe by the Serious Fraud Office.
The SFO contacted the British engineering champion earlier this year after it received information concerning ‘intermediaries’, middlemen who help seal business deals when a company has a limited local presence.
Rolls-Royce hired an international law firm, believed to be Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, which launched an internal investigation, ending with information being passed to the SFO.
