Americans fund 'Hitler-kind of killing machine'

Led by Barack Obamas' advocacy for abortion, Americans are forced to fund "a Hitler-kind of killing machine" through the hundreds of millions of federal taxpayer dollars given to Planned Parenthood, a leading pro-life legal voice charges.

The comments came from Liberty Counsel founder Mathew Staver in a "Faith and Freedom" podcast.

This week is the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade opinion in which seven justices found a right in the U.S. Constitution for mothers to kill their unborn children.

A huge March for Life is scheduled Friday, and other events are taking place all week long dedicated to the unborn children who have been killed.

Along with Staver, the show features Liberty Counsel Action spokesman and WND columnist Matt Barber.

Barber noted that some 55 million unborn children have been killed in the United States in the 40 years since the Supreme Court opinion.

He said that at a time of exploding government borrowing and debt, as states slash spending to get their own fiscal houses in order, it is outlandish that the federal government would give Planned Parenthood, the largest player in America's abortion industry, $542 million last year.

That's after Planned Parenthood was given some $340 million over the previous few years.

"This underscores what this president intends to do with Obamacare, with his HHS mandate. They have said openly they intend to have taxpayer funding for abortions," Barber said. "This president is a radical pro-abort. He intends to provide billions of dollars to Planned Parenthood and the murderous abortion industry."

Staver noted his organization is in court now to defeat the Obamacare provision that forces employers to pay for abortifacients, regardless of their religious faith.

And the abortion demands from the White House extend even to individuals, he said.

"If you are an individual and your employer actually covers abortion, which would be contraceptives, abortifacients, then you as an individual will ultimately have to pay a separate fee that goes toward a fund that funds abortion," he said.

Barber said Washington has established a process for "enriching people who make a living killing innocent unborn children."

"They're getting filthy rich off of it," he said.

Staver was a little more specific.

"It's like enriching Hitler to give him more money and forcing people to fund Hitler to slaughter innocent people."

He continued, noting that Hitler "killed a lot fewer people. Certainly it was atrocious in the way that he did it. It's repugnant to even think that you would force people to fund a Hitler-kind of killing machine or a Pol Pot or some of these other genocidal tyrants.

"Yet that's what we're doing here in America," he said.

Estimates are that Hitler organized the deaths of some 6 million to 8 million Jews and another 4 million to 6 million people during World War II.

In a statement, Liberty Counsel noted America has lost "under 1 million people in all the wars in American history combined."

The group pointed out abortion hits minority communities the hardest.

"While African-Americans make up 12 percent of the population, 37 percent of all abortions are against African-American babies. The same is true for the Hispanic population who make up about 15 percent of the population but represent 22 percent of all abortions," the organization said.

Staver said he believes "the fulfillment of the dream of justice for the preborn is going to find its roots in the very communities hurt most by this senseless injustice.”

"Justice will always speak for those who cannot speak for themselves," he said. "Silence is not an option. It is time for America to rise up with Dr. King's dream and live out our Christian faith. It is time for America to rise up and defend the preborn."
