After reading about Mayor Koch's desire to ban all guns in the U.S., I can't help but wonder if politicians are unable to learn from the past. From 1920 to 1933, the U.S. government banned all liquor. History shows us how successful that was. The U.S. government has been waging their "War on Drugs" now for many years and have yet to win. Why do they think a ban on guns would be successful? To my knowledge, neither drugs nor liquor are mentioned or protected by the original U.S. Constitution.
Perhaps a history lesson is in order for the ruling class in the U.S.
