Jewish deli morphs into donut shop on Sabbath

(THE OTHER PAPER) — When Dragonfly was morphing into Till (247 King Ave.), it marked a pretty significant evolution. The restaurant traveled up the food chain from serving only vegetarian eats to offering biodynamic dishes (think organic on steroids) for omnivores.

It turns out that Till isn’t done evolving, as its owners are presently developing the storefront adjacent to the restaurant at 249 King Ave. The space is slated to become Izzy and Mo.

Constituting owner Magdiale Wolmark describes as “an authentic Jewish deli,” Izzy and Mo will be open for breakfast and lunch Sunday through Friday. On Friday nights, in honor of the Jewish Sabbath, it will change into a doughnut stop and keep the circular treats rolling through Saturday.
